I realize he is a wrestler, but against Chuck and Machida, he's done nothing but box. Aside from that, when is the last time you've seen AS get taken down and get in trouble. I would go as far as saying that Hendo is a better wrestler than Rashad, and what happened to him? Go back and watch the tape... no matter where this fight goes, AS is better.

Anderson Silva does not have the Takedown Defence as Chuck and Machida. Rashad would fight, a completely different fight against Anderson, he is smarter than to stand with Anderson

If Evans wants to fight the spider, he should use his wrestling ability to take the spider down and GNP him the whole way. That’s the only way to beat the spider.

I have a feeling that Rashad realizes that his striking isn't nearly as good as he thought it was, thanks to Machida

AS takes a good 2-3 minutes to calculate his opponent. Take him down immediately and keep constant pressure on him and the potential is there to stifle his ability to calculate you. Rashad is a strong dude with great wrestling, I think a Greg Jackson game plane to go along with it could really force a competitive fight.

Machida's ground game is Godly, nobody wants to tango with Machida on the ground.
Anderson has excellent BJJ, but no where near Rashad's ground game, that's his world.

How the hell is Anderson's ground game no where near Rashad?? Besides wrestling Rashad doesn't have any other advantage on the ground. No one has seen his BJJ. He has ground and pounded 2 fighters his entire career........But Anderson is no where near Evans on the ground????? :? :? :? :lol:

I don't think so...He even admitted his body was completely fatigued in that second round. He wouldn't have lasted 5 rounds or even had the gas to finish Silva.

We dont know that! Could hendo have kept up what he was doing for 4 more rounds? I dont think so. It wasnt as much of a mistake as it was AS just being that good and knowing how to take advantage.

on the latest episode of ESPN MMA Live, Rashad Evans called out Anderson Silva for the second time and begged Joe Silva to make this fight happen as soon as possible. so if this match was to happen, who do you guys think would win? with Greg Jackson around, i say Rashad wins. mabye

I think that Rashad can beat Silva due to the sheer explosiveness of Rashad's punches. Since Rashad is faster and more powerful than Griffin, chances are that Anderson might get hooked with something from Rashad, and ultimately get knocked out like Chuck Liddell.
Now that is a sight to see.

I think Rashad Evans can win if he fights smart. No way Evans could stand up and bang with The Spider. I think it is best for Evans to use his wrestling ability to take the spider down and GNP him. I think The spider would be worn down if Evans takes him down and GNP him several times. So The Spider can be knocked out when he is worn down. I think it would be a great fight.

Anderson Silva still takes this. Anderson is in a league of his own when it comes to striking/counterstriking. If Rashad goes back to his wrestling roots, he MIGHT have a chance, but very slim at best. Only way I see Rashad taking this is via GnP, but it has to be near perfect for it to happen.
Sadly, Greg Jackson might have a formula that works, but Rashad isn't the type of athlete that beats Anderson.

I think Rashad's only path to victory would be GnP, but I'm sure he'd eat shots going in and apparently Anderson hits pretty hard.

considering the fact that Silva got his Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt from Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, i would think Rashad taking Silva down would be a really bad decision. his best chance would be to stand with him.
