TMZ Sports
has obtained footage of
Baltimore Ravens
running back
Ray Rice
dragging his fiancee (
who appears to be out cold) out of an elevator in an Atlantic City casino ... moments after cops say they attacked each other on the property.
The footage was shot on February 15th ... right before Rice and his fiancee
Janay Palmer
were both arrested for assault at the Revel Casino. Cops say they have video which proved both parties attacked each other.
But before the arrest, Ray can be seen trying to lift and move a seemingly unconscious Palmer out of a casino elevator.
While Palmer is sprawled out on the ground, a man in a suit -- who appears to be talking into a security microphone -- approaches the situation and confronts Rice. It's unclear if the man is security, but it sure seems that way.
Moments later, as Palmer seems to regain consciousness, Rice walks away.
Both Rice and Palmer were later arrested and taken to a nearby police station. They've since been released.
Ray's attorney Michael Diamondstein tells us ... he has not seen the video but is adamant, "Neither Ray nor myself will try this case in the media."
He adds, "However, the video that's being posted by TMZ Sports is not the complete event, but is merely the end result of what transpired."
"We'll assure the public that when this matter is fully tried and completed, you'll have a better understanding of what happened and we ask the public to reserve making any judgment until all of the

He doesn't get as much coverage casue he's not a current player, & there's no video evidence.

The NFL is a weird workplace. Rapists, drug addicts, meatheads, murders, and all around scumbags. Its a male driven, testostorne filled world. They see a gay man as weak, and inferior.
As for Ray Rice, with our goofy legal system, he may not be "done" so to speak. But, he's certainly a scumbag. And will be HEAVILY punished by the NFL for this.

Not all the facts are out there. They were saying on the radio that both Rice and his fiance are facing domestic violence charges. There has to be more security cam footage as this was in a casino. There have to be more witnesses. But, dragging her around like a caveman and KO'ing her is really bad.

I have him in my fantasy dynasty keeper league. He just made my "cut or keep" decision very easy on my part.
As far as this whole, "wait till the facts are released and hear the entire story"... unless the story is that someone was attempting to hit his wife and he missed that person and accidently hit her, I don't really think there's any court in the land that is going to accept self-defense when it comes to an NFL player against a woman that was knocked unconcious.
Then again, if that (it was a complete accident) was the case... one would think she already would have come forward and cleared the air? The fact that this happened last weekend and that she is keeping this quiet about it as major media outlets pick up the story and run with it, says a lot.
Innocent until proven guilty, but, it's not looking good for RayRay.

Haha! Me too! But after the way he played last season, my decision was already made long before ... last season ended. He was a replacement player for me by week 7 or so.

Only reason I'm saying that is b/c they are in a casino. Everything is on video, well at least that is my conclusion after watching the movie Casino. You'd think they'd have some video of the incident, albeit possibly grainy. Other thing is she is being charged as well. Still, when you are dragging your girl caveman style that is really bad. Even if nobody talks, and the video is so bad they can't prove the case, I'd assume the NFL will levy a suspension. Cut RayRay loose. I had Bernard Pierce as a back-up/possible flex last season, I played him once or twice and he was real bad.

I agree.
The fact that it's on video is going to be even worse for him, even if it does show her hitting him first. Not from a legal sense, but from the NFL portion of it.
Short of her pulling a gun or knife on him (which one would think she'd be charged with if that were the case), this is not going to play out well for Ray Rice.
The NFL is all about their image these days. Used to be you could rack up a few DUI's or slap around your mistress in the offseason and everything would be fine at training camp. Gooddell is all about protecting the "shield" of the NFL these days. Even the implication of wrongdoing is enough to get you a fine/possible suspension. Hitting a woman on video, almost regardless of the circumstances surrounding it, is going to land you in big time trouble with the league.

She attacked him, he acted in self defense. He was only dragging her out so she wouldn't get arrested for attacking him. The guy's a prince.

Here's the sad thing; unless there is a video of him punching her AND visible damage to her face AND she's will to press charges, he'll probably get off.
Otherwise you have a guy with his fiance who is "passed out".

Get off legally or get off from the NFL dropping the hammer? A few years ago Ben Roethlisburger missed the first six games of the season merely on an allegation. No video, no charges filed, just the word of one other person and the starting QB and franchise player is missing over a third of the season (and I'm not taking issue with that). With the video and charges being filed (both were charged by the local police, so I don't know that it matters if she presses charges), no, I don't think Rice will get off.

Oh, I agree he will service some sort of fine and/suspension under the leagues "code of conduct". I think the likelihood of him being charged criminally is a long-shot. It's sad, really.
