At 205 he would be fighting guys a lot quicker than HW, guys who would put his lights out with quickness.

Yes he could. You realize you are posting this in a thread where a 265 + Overeem is now 210...right? And it was all muscle loss. JDS at his heaviest was what? 245?
He's not a super heavyweight by any stretch of the imagination.
Let's be realistic here. I STILL think he tools anyone at heavyweight not named Cain. But Cain isn't losing any time soon, and he's had 3 cracks at him. It's within his best interest then, to drop to the next viable weight and take a shot at that belt. Which he most certainly could do...and I think, could win.
I'm a huge JDS fan. I like the guy. I want to see him win. He's not gonna get the HW belt, and it's stupid to have him as a gate keeper. f---in drop down to 205 already...take the damn belt from that jack *** Jones. I would be a very happy fan if he did this.
The difference is that Overeem has beach muscles as a heavyweight, JDS doesn't. He's got a naturally large frame. He could probably make 205 if he desperately tried to, but there would be no reason to. He'd have to stick to an extremely strict diet & cut a lot of weight, something he's never done before.
Overeem can make 205 because he was on everything under the sun and just pure f---ing muscle
he got off it, it's gone...now he's in a position where he could move to 205 if he wanted to by losing a little more muscle (he'd still be in insane shape) and then cut down to 205
but JDS can't because he's not heavily muscled with biceps popping out of his ears, he's just a big guy
