It wasn't any worse of a dec than GSP/Hendricks or Condit/Diaz. Did Hendricks quit? So Dana is dumb for telling guys not to leave it up to the judges?

After the wars Robbie has been in over the last few years, I'd put my money on Wonderboy.
I think Woodley vs Lawler and Condit vs Thompson makes perfect sense right now. Woodley has the best claim to fight for the belt, followed by Condit and then Thompson. I think Condit is a tougher match up for Wonderboy but I think Condit gets ko'ed.

My first instinct was to go "wonderboy", but Robbie could KO him ez. And I think he's smart enough to stay outside and even go for takedowns.

Yeah I can definitely see it going both ways, could see Wonderboy catching Robbie and vice versa. Definitely the fight to make imo.

The dumb part was you saying Condit should start finishing fights. He's finished all but 2 of his wins. I'm not sure if you know this, but fighters can't just decide to finish fights, there's someone else in there who has something to say about that.

Robbie would have to do what Hendricks was supposed to do. Someone is going to have to Brown his *** to win. I wouldn't mind seeing Condit fight him Thompson instead. Either way Robbie is going to have to eat a lot of strikes to do anything. He can do it. But he can also get KO'd so wtf knows... My heart will always say Robbie though.

Robbie won't get frustrated like Hendricks but he will get hit and hit a lot. I think Wonder Boy finishes him.

Robbie won't just walk forward and stand in front and try to press like hendricks he will keep just out of kick distance and counter and Robbie hits like a ton of bricks in every round

I've seen Robbie rocked enough times that this is a bad stylistic matchup for him

Exactly. For as great as his fights have been, Rory & Condit were both really close to beating him.

So, this is the latest fancy pants striker that is going to finally finish Robbie?
I hope he has a chin like Carlos or he's f---ed.

Thompson has a 57-0 kick boxing record so it's not too smart to stand with him in MMA. He's very beatable though, Matt Brown did it by taking him down. He's like Pettis at Lw, if u stand at a distance he will pick you apart. The way to beat Thompson is crowd him and take him down, not something lawler does in fights. I thinks Thompson beats lawler but loses to Woodley or GSP.

Your funny you complain about an opinion only to give your own with a touch of sarcasm but try to push it off as fact. Again only my opinion but IMO Lawler did just that against Rory, the way he stared him down at the end of the 4th seem like he was on a mission to end that fight one way or another. Anybody can be finished, it's called imposing your will on an opponent until you break them. Let me think of some examples, hmmm Lawler/Macdonald and oh yea Condit/Alves. He went after it against Alves and skipped to the front of the line because of it. He played it safe against Diaz knowing full well a win in any way gets him the GSP fight. Different circumstances in each of these Condit fights both leading to title shots. To me it's easy to see this. You, I get why you don't understand it. I mean at first I didn't but now I know I jus wuz givin ya 2 much credit
My mistake and it won't happen again

Agreed and even know his wrestling wasn't tested to much against Hendricks. These other guys might wanna test it sooner rather than later, he's only gonna get better working with Weidman.

People seem to forget that Ellenberger dropped Wonderboy in their fight. And Lawler is arguably the hardest puncher p4p in the sport. All it takes is one shot on the chin and WB's hypetrain goes the way of PVZ and Northcutt.
It'll be a helluva fight.

Hendricks also beat him in most people's eyes in the rematch.

After re-watching the Hendricks/Thompson fight, Johny was clearly baffled by the constant stance switching and angles Wonderboy created. Someone with a thorough understanding of lead-foot positioning should be able to hold their ground with Wonderboy. Josh's karate side stance eliminates the effectiveness of his cross (punch) and is a big hindrance to its power or at the least the speed it takes for him to square his shoulder and rotate his hips when throwing the cross; however, it makes his body less of a target and does wonders defensively. If Robbie keeps Wonderboy on his heels, I like his chances, but if he lets him find rhythm by bouncing on the balls of his feet, wheel or roadhouse kick to the dome ftw.
I <3 this fight !!!
