Ronda's defense against Cat Zingano has been moved to 184 on February 28th.
It will be the co-main event under Chris Weidman's bout with Vitor Belfort.

Or gives more leeway for Dana White to go off and tell us how Rhonda is responsible for all the PPV buys despite the fact Weidman vs Belfort is the headliner

It's the UFC. All these fight announcements are great but we know these cards aren't going to look anything like we think.
Not a knock on Zuffa, really. It is just the way injuries and postponements are going nowadays. Between the heavy schedule and fighters jockeying for title position or being scared to get cut, injuries will continue to affect cards. The number of fighters willing to get cortisone shots and toughing it out are shrinking.

I don't know about that. It turns out that Cain was training on an injured knee and simply made it worse. I think most fighters are still willing to keep going.

If it remains injury free, then this is a very solid PPV with two Championship Belts on the line!! No doubt a PPV worthy card.

Backup main event for when they inevitably catch Vitor on PEDs.

Or turn into 175, which wasn't that great.

My first thought was of Zingano's medical suspension after the Nunes fight. But makes sense to have Ronda at Staples Center.

I thought it was just planned but in any case whether it is at 182 or 184 the result will be the same. Rousey via submission no longer than round 3.

Just because 2 fighters are great does mean that the entire card will be.

I hear ya. I almost never pay attention to them. For instance, I had no idea when Hendricks vs Lawler II was happening. I had to look up. I'll start to believe it the week of the fight, and I'll fully believe it when the cage door closes.

That's what happened yesterday, they announced we lost our main event fighter vs Shogun, and immediately released like 10 new fights. when all the fights that were announced yesterday get changed, they'll make it up to us by announcing other future even better fights.
