Eight-time world boxing champion Roy Jones, Jr. is taking a well-earned day off from his intense training for his fight next Saturday, August 15th, against Jeff “Left Hook” Lacy on the "Hook City" pay-per-view show live from Biloxi, Mississippi. Jones will be attending tomorrow night's (Saturday) UFC show in Philadelphia to scout Anderson Silva in order to check out his skills in person.

Why do i get the feeling this may be the reason for the IMO extensive showboating (usually its not as much) yesterday? Him putting his hands down, showing head movement, telling forrest to hit him, offering his hand when Forrest was down etc. Also I am not sure about Silva's contract but could this be the reason that its been reported that his management asked about Silva vacating the MW title? Again not sure on the contracts but this does seem possible to me. Smart move by the UFC to not show RJJ on camera.

He also offered to help up Patrick Cote in their fight. He's done some showboating before - it's not like this is a new trend for him. I think he might be suffering from the same frustration as Michael Jordan in the NBA - he's too far ahead of the competition for it to be a real challenge for him.

i think Roy might be a little less confident after watching that fight, wether he admits it or not

anderson is a great striker and all, but i think in a straight boxing match, i gotta give it to jones.
that guy is just too fast

This, I think I'd put a small bet on Silva at +1000 tho.
