I heard from a very reliable source tonight that Roger Huerta is unhappy with Bellator, and may soon be looking for a way to secure his release from the promotion.
Rumor has it that Bellator will be unable to provide him with the agreed upon number of fights owed to him per his contract, and Huerta would like to explore other options.
Hopefully Bellator will not attempt to claim that his recent street fight, where he proved himself to not only be a hero, but a real life Batman, counts as one of his contractually guaranteed fights.

I'm Roger's biggest fan and I would love to see him back in the UFC but
HE NEEDS TO IMPROVE AS A FIGHTER!!
He's the same fighter he was when he took on Clay Guida back in 07.

You make a good point but what aspects of his game do you think need improvements the most? Submissions? Striking? He's never been finished by anyone, which is pretty impressive in itself but it takes more than just being tough to be successful in this sport.

Considering he was upset by Curran in his last fight.
I do not think it was as much of a cake walk as he expected.
It will be hard to get a good pay day for anyone coming off a loss.

if he went back to the ufc i doubt they would pay him well because he's coming off a loss. i'd like to see him go to strikeforce and fight guys like gurgel, jz or thompson.

I would say improving his power and speed, work on his stand-up more, boxing. He needs to learn how to pace himself a bit. And he should use his wrestling in his fights cause when he took on Leanard Garcia he destroyed Garcia on the ground Via Chael and Anderson lol. He just needs to continue to improve.
He should know what he needs to work on, or his camp should know at least.

Assuming there was any thing to this. Roger was going to be the poster boy for Bellators sales in Latin America. But when he lost the fight in the tournament all that went up in smoke and now Rebney has way over paid for him. He has tried pawning him off on Coker but he is asking to much money. So if Roger really wanted out of his contract he might be able to. But Bellator's partner only sold 1000 tickets to one of the shows in Texas last year so having Roger on one of the shows there this season might seem like a good idea suddenly. I say go freak show fight. Get the football player he put a beating on in the ring. I bet that would sell tickets.
