This is a big welterweight matchup, and could pave the way for another #1 contender. Kos is scheduled to fight Thiago at 95, and if he wins this could become very real. I could see the winner facing Fitch or Swick etc. I see Kos taking this one easy though, what do you guys think.

Re: Rumor: Karo vs Kos at 98
They should just make Paryisan fight Fitch at UFC 98. but i doubt he would sign the contract.
just out of curiosity, is there a source?

Re: Rumor: Karo vs Kos at 98
This is an interesting fight. I think Karo needs another fight to get into more muscular strength/shape to compete at the WW division.

Really, I know Paulo's got some talent, but I don't see him giving Kos too much trouble. Kos is too good of a wrestler and an athlete, not to mention Kos' striking has greatly improved.

Re: Rumor: Karo vs Kos at 98
Kos should dismantle Karo. Karo is only useful in the clinch, and Kos doesn't do much clinch work, just lays you on your back or punches you in the face.

Agree, but Paulos has the unkown factor, may have a nice high kick waiting for him. But I think Kos will roll past both fighters. I just don't see Karo having much of a chance in this fight, not really even a punchers chance. Kos's chin seems extremly good, took a beating from Alves but was able to last, and a high kick against Hazzlett.

Re: Rumor: Karo vs Kos at 98
Kos should easily win this fight. Karo needs to start training properly and cut down to 155

I totally agree. Parisyan is 5'10, and would be a big LW. It'll never happen, I think I'll see a Unicorn before I see a 6 pack on Karo lol.

Re: Rumor: Karo vs Kos at 98
There's a rumor indicating Karo failed his drug test for oxymorphone, hydromorphone and hydrocodone, so I doubt this fight gets booked anytime soon if that rumor pans out.

Karo on the dope!
http://mmajunkie.com/news/13968/ufc-94-competitor-karo-parisyan-tests-positive-for-prescription-painkillers.mma
He sucks, he lost his last fight (well in my eyes and many others) and should be cut, boring fighter with nothing left.

Re: Karo on the dope!
Interesting, now the question is, are those substances banned and if so are they going to overturn the fight verdict, because if they do, Karo's stock is going to take a nosedive.

I feel bad for this guy. Just too bad. Another one who has wasted his talent.

Re: Rumor: Karo vs Kos at 98
Karo Parisyan has tested positive for multiple banned substances after his split-decision win over Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 94.
The UFC welterweight gave a sample that contained traces of Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone and Oxymorphone, all of which are prohibited.
Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opiate derivative that is used as a prescription painkiller under brand names such as Vicodin.
Hydromorphone, another powerful prescription painkiller, is derived from morphine and is approximately three times stronger than heroin when compared on a milligram for milligram basis.
Oxymorphone is similar to Hydromorphone but is regarded as more potentially addictive; it has a following among recreational drug users for the intense high it produces, although when used for genuine pain-relief it is not so habit-forming.
