So i was rewatchin some old UFC dvds and in UFC 43 Eddie Bravo comes out and does fighter interviews and does breakdowns after the fights. I know in a lot of other UFCs fighters would be guest commentators like Randy was.
Why did the UFC stop having Eddie and other commentators?

Not sure to be honest, but I like it when they have fighters as guest commentators. Randy was awesome at it, and Mir is/was VERY good for the WEC. Kenny Florian was another noteable guest commentator.
Personally, I would like to see more of it (even as a way to hype up a fight). You get the perspective of someone who has been in the cage, as well as a unique insight into the fighters minds.

I agree with all of those....Randy, Kenflo, and Mir.
Bonnar, on the other hand, i don't like...yes he knows his stuff, but there is something about his voice that annoys me.

I hated having to listen Bonnar. Frank Mir is so good on the WEC that when someone like Bonnar comes in, sho' probably wasn't that bad, I almost muted it haha and I agree it's just his cartoon charachter voice

I'm hoping the UFC can get their hands on Frank Shamrock. He has done an AWESOME job with commentary for Strikeforce!

I think Randy always did a goood job as a guest commentator but when he is Goldie is ALL over his nuts. I can;t remember which event it was but i remember anytime Goldie wanted to mention that randy was the guest commentator he would introduce him as the 3 time HW champ and the 2 time LHW champ and what not and i think their was a title fight that night too and goldie was like Randy you knwo alot about winning tittles don't you? and it really got on my nerves the amount of *** kissing that goldie was doin to randy

With the butchering he did on the mic for Affliction he should be banned from any type of broadcasting ever again. 'Feeyodor'

In Titos defense, he was trying to pronounce it the way we pronounce it in Russian, only problem was that he butchered it lol

I;m so glad you were kidding about that lol! I think Frank is one of the worse commentators. Sure he knows the sport but he can't get over grudges, as far as I can tell no one has ever hurt him in a fight, ever....
Yea I think the thing with Eddie Bravo was caused mostly by the scoring he used to do. He would score fights and they would show it on the broadcast. However most people got the impression that was the official score.
I am glad they did this however, the quality of the submission highlights have improved dramatically. You see the set ups, the sweeps, the transitions, etc...
