terrible match-up that does nothing for Bisping, why should he fight a guy who is below mid level in the ufc? Scraping past Belcher and getting subbed by Leben.

Bisping vs. Akiyama Headlining UFC 120??
British middleweight Michael Bisping will face Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 120 in London in October, according to reports.
Bisping was expected to fight Brazil's Vitor Belfort, but now looks set to meet the Japanese judo expert Akiyama at the O2 on October 16.
"Bout agreements have been drawn up and at least one has been completed and signed, with the second expected to be completed in the very near future to make the bout official," Fighters Only magazine revealed on Friday.
After beating Alan Belcher at UFC 100 in July last year, Akiyama suffered a surprise defeat to Chris Leben at UFC 116, who Bisping beat on points at UFC 89. Bisping is 2-2 in UFC after a unanimous decision win over Dan Miller at UFC 114.

Bisping reminds me of Dangerfield. No Respect. I guess they gave up on giving Bisping a push. Him fighting a guy coming off a loss to a guy hes beaten makes no sense. Leben vs Bisping would make much more sense then this, or even Belcher, he is at least coming off a win.

ffs. im hopefully going to this but this is a s--- main event, we haven't had a title fight over here since january 08 and Dana stated on an english mma show last june that'd we'd have one by the end of 09! bulls---.

I am not complaining at all because this probably is a free card, but this is not the "big fight" that Dana promised the fans to make up for 112.
Sexy v. Bisping main event is not going to get many people excited.

Just makes no sense to match them up, Bisping coming off a good win and Akiyama coming off a loss.
UFC rarely do that.

The akiyama talk about "coming off a loss" is just odd from you guys.........its not like it was a horrible loss. He was winning in an exciting fight until he got submitted in the last 20 seconds.
The bisping/leben talk is nonsense..........bisping already beat leben so why take a step back?
Plus on overseas cards you usually get overseas fighters...
