They got alot of good news in the past days for his HW division, Coker and SF needs to work around his HW now, not later.
this are the matches i propose and think it could work for them to put a very interesting division for them and the HW in general.
Alistair vs Werdum
Barnnet vs Kharitonov
Arvloski vs Valetijn
Rogers vs Lavar
Griggs vs Shane
Antonio vs Fedor
put those matchs to start to get all your HW involve in some way, Alistair needs to be on the SF ring, the guy is a monster and right now is so increible SF cannot lose the chance to have somoene like AO that has the momentum right now
put Fedor in the ring or let him go away, stop wasting time around him or he will fight or just cut him lose alredy
and get Duffee and Sylvia on the roster, i think both will be a good adition for his division, Sylvia is winning and i think he will beat abe wagner and Duffee took a bullet for them with his last fight, he is an interesting prospect and can be use for his challenger series reward him for his sacrifice in new years and is not like he is a can, the guy is an interesting figther

Plenty of HW matchups, but Cocker won't pull his head out and get the fights lined up! I would rather see Fat Overeem against Rogers though, put AA up against Lavar or DC!! Bring Duffee in to be DC's punching bag, and Sylvia vs any of them would be good. The potential matchups in SF are insane and need to get done!!!

Coker should have done this in august already, Its January now, and I can guarantee to you that you can make this same post in march, none of those matches are done that time yet, its only two months more, but if you start thinking that these matches were supposed to happen in August, it makes it over half a year late. Fedor has been sidelined for a year, so has Overeem and Werdum and Rogers. Barnett has new hearing this month, it does not guarantee he gets the permission to fight, Kharitonov hasnt fought in SF yet. And meantime, once in three weeks either a M-1 representative or Coker announces that the deal is almost done. That has been happening since June. Nothing has happened in reality. I think Dana has still the same smile he had when Werdum won Fedor.. "
" Nothing happens.

i agree and is so frustrating so i hope 2011 is going to be diferent for SF and now they have the momentum in the HW division for all the stuff that are happening around MMA lately, they can get alot of heat for that division so if they dont take that oportunity it would be a tremendous mistake, specially for the Alistair momentum right now

Fedor and Werdum fought 6 months ago, Overeem was 7 months ago, so not even close to a year. Werdum is also sidelined with an injury so he isnt fighting soon.
Dana should have done this in August already. Nog has not fought since Feb 20th, Junior wont be fighting for months, Mir only fought twice last year, Nelson is in a tangled web, geez, why do they not have all their HW division fighting yet? This wont happen until nearly June. and yes, Dana still has a smile on his face from when Werdum BEAT Fedor, he didn't WON him. Nothing happens.

SF could easily beat out the UFC with their HW line up only if they would get them to fight each other..........many many good matchups but nothing ever gets lined up..
just to clear it up.......wasn't really saying which set of HWs were better.....was talking about exciting competitive fights.

Yeah but even if you think the divisions are equal in talent, we never get proof of that in SF, they just dont fight over there. Thanks for DW that we have UFC where the fights get fought.

Why do I have to keep posting the same corrections over and over?

Ricjh Chou said they had offered Duffee a number of fights and he turned them down. Maybe with the big loss he will be more interested now.
Tim Sylvia had tweeted that he was trying to get a fight with SF for March or April I don't remember which. But taking over Duffee's gig makes that unlikely.
Fedor has been sidelined for a year, so has Overeem and Werdum and Rogers.

Or atleast 6 1/2 months. But close with that over a year estimate. They fought 5/15/2010.
Barnett has new hearing this month

Yes this month on Feb 4.

Got any facts to back that up?
Werdum is also sidelined with an injury so he isnt fighting soon.

Unless you consider the March 5th show soon.

Well Fedor fought in may, 7 months and a half, not 6 and half, and now when its not even done deal, We dont have to think he is going to be on this month or february, that makes it over 9 months, so My year estimate is actually not so far off, and there is no proof Fedor would fight on the march either or april. Still my point stands --> nothing happens.
On Barnett, I do not proofwrite everything in here, Im sorry my estimation was couple weeks away, still my point stays he isnt fighting in SF yet --> nothing happens.
If you havent seen the news about "the deal almost done" you dont read mma junkie's news or any other mma news outlet, and you skip half of the threads here on junkie, this is a point where I do not bother to find you any proof, everyone has seen it. Aaaand my point still stays.. --> nothing happens.
So who is Werdum fighting march 5th show? When was it announced? Unless you hold Werdum's own gossip that he might be participating then, he just dont know against who and will he accept.

That Tournament would be dope. Injuries will play out though. And with the way SF works this tournament would probably take three years to finish.
But i hope they get this tournament going. The HW division is basicly all they have. That and Diaz vs Daley...
I see Overeem taking that Tournament and I dont see Fedor even mAking it to the Finals. Make it happen Cocker!

I agree. The SF heavyweight roster offers alot of interesting matchup. The UFC's hw division is in a state of flux (With Brock being MIA, Cain hurt, Nelson's contract situation) Strikeforce could step up and be the place to see some great heavyweight matchups.
However, I dont have much faith that Coker can line it all up and make it happen!

Fedor fought in JUNE not May, so ya, June to Feb 12th sure is a year.
Werdum seems to be fighting Rogers March 5th!
Barnett is also fighting Feb 12th!
Aaaand my point still stays..--> you speak falsehoods!
