Another one bites the dust...hopefully it isn't true but please just merge UFC 108 and 109 and put it in the middle of January.

There are strange forces at work that do not want this event to happen.

I feel bad for the suckers who bought tickets already in good faith. UFC 108 could go down as the worst card the UFC has ever promoted.
They need to figure out some way of merging 108 with 109 or else there is going to be alot of disappointed people.

Jim Miller is my cousin and I was supposed to go watch him fight. Are they gunna give him another guy on 2.5 weeks notice or are they just gunna scrap the fight??

Tough spot for Miller to be in. If some guy takes the fight on short notice, then loses, he'll claim it was lack of preparation. If he wins, it's all skill.

Spoke with someone this weekend who informed me that the UFC will not scrap a card if they can still make money off of it.
Do you really think Sherk being off the card is going to lose buys?

hell no, I go have a beer during his fights. Although Miller is one of my favorite lw's to watch. Keep your ticket stubs during the fight, if your number is called, you will be expected to report to the cage for a fight

I think Jimmy has been training a bit with this guy...besides Oliveria is coming off a loss and would be a huge step down for him

Ludwig is fun but he will be on his back almost the entire fight. I'm taking Miller by DEC.

Another tough loss for a struggling UFC 108 card. I know many people will buy UFC's regardless, but I can't say I'm all that fired up about this upcoming event. Sherk is for my money a top 5 UFC lightweight, with his withdrawal from the card the amount of real relevant ranked contenders on the card drops to like 3 in my eyes and two are fighting one another. Perhaps the card is infact CURSED, I'm sure the Pay Per View buys will be SPOOKY low.

Really? another fighter is injured... Do these high profile fighters get paid nothing now??? How much is the bout pay compared to their sponsorship money?
May sound like a wuss but if I was fighting for a living I would consider not training as hard. Gotta get paid. Three or even two years ago, injuring weren't a big factor in MMA, let alone a moderate factor; there were few n far inbetween. I can't even look forward to fights anymore... sh!ts getting on my nerves.
Anyways, would still like to say that if the fighters don't get paid, it's great to see them giving it all they got to give us the best possible show they can, just to bad it's been often ending in injuries.

Release this dude.
Good or not, he's always getting injured. It's old now.
