They both are supposedly asking for it.
Here's a quote from DW about it:
"(Shogun vs Evans) is a fight, yeah. That is a fight that could happen, yeah. But I keep hearing this thing that Nogueira and Shogun want to fight each other, they want to do the rematch. I don’t know how that makes sense for Nogueira, but that’s what they want, that’s what I’m hearing they want. Far be it from me to not give somebody what they want."
What do you think of this fight?
Who wins?

GREAT rematch.
Nog takes this in a razor thin, exciting decision, like the first one.

I'd be shocked if Nog won this. Evans basically gave that fight away more than Nog having some incredible performance, and while talented on multiple levels, he's only looked good in two fights in his UFC career (Cane/Ortiz - who just aren't on Shogun's level). I personally will not be overrating Nog's win against Evans, Shogun is going to come after him and take this by KO/decision.

Nog beats Shogun if they fight.....Shogun is shot, his cardio sucks and his striking defense is terrible.

Shogun by first round KO. 2013 Shogun is still better than Lil Nog.

I heard about this while ago. It was Lil Nogs coach (Sergio Cunha) who brought it up.

Different fighters these day. If shogun comes prepared I see him getting a finish in the first

Agree but with shogun being so inconsistent these days you never know what shogun will show up, he's being in so many wars I think its finally taken its toll on him. Crazy thing is he's only like 31 or 32

He out struck him standing in the first fight and Shogun was forced to continually take Lil Nog down and GnP and try for stomps.
f--- that was a great fight...

I wouldn't bother comparing a fight from 8 years ago. How did Wanderlei do against Rampage after dominating him twice in Pride? Shogun is the superior fighter now imo. I don't see how he loses this fight at all.

I expect a Shogun win and you're right an 8 year gap is too much to measure by.

Uh.. striking? Lackluster or not, he still stuffed 3 out of 4 takedowns from Evans. He has crisper striking and who is the last person Shogun stopped? Forrest Griffin? He couldn't even finish a gassed Henderson. The last time Nog was finished was against Sokoudjou FOREVER ago.
Nog wins via being more technical. Shogun could win via takedowns in a close striking battle, like the first fight. Don't let the last fight surprise you. Nogueira is still legit. Both of them are.
