With the recent controversy over Colin Kapernick's Refusal to stand during Our National Anthem. The question keeps coming to mind. With all the diversity in opinion, race & life experience in the US. Should we stop politicizing (inadvertently or not) the start of our sporting events with the star Spangled Banner ?

I don't think it brings politics into it.. But it should stop being played. I've seen sporting events in about a dozen countries. We are the only to play the national anthem at the start. I see it as nationalism, which is both a good and bad thing. At sporting events it means jackshit, it's a pointless thing to do.

Yes. And get the f---ing military off the field/ice. They have no business being there except on associated holiday weekends. Turns out in the US they were paying to be there as a recruiting/promotional tool.
Play the anthem for international events for the winner. That's it.
