This puts Faber in a spot being he is still at the top of his division. Where does he go from here TJ has made it clear that he doesn't want to fight him. And if Faber is going to get another chance he had better take it as soon as possible he is not getting any younger.
‘Im going to continue to train with Team Alpha Male, but I’m going to cross train with Duane (Ludwig). I plan on getting my black belt under ‘Bang’, he is a genius. I still want to train at Team Alpha Male, these guys are the best sparring partners I can get for my weight class. I don’t plan on fighting Urijah, he’s helped to get me where I am at. He is like my brother, I wouldn’t like to do that fight.’
Imagine if Mendes beats Aldo and TAM have two champs in the only realistic divisions Faber could fight in. He should just take fights and either give up on holding a title or wait til it isn't being held by one of his training partners. He obviously doesn't mind who he fights, a lot of people didn't think the Cacares fight made sense but Urijah signed on.

This is a very realistic possibility

He has to move up. Time for Aldo to move up to 155.

Aldo moving up to 55s makes no difference
Mendes is about to strip that belt and kick him out of the division

Can he fight disguised as Liz Carmouche? They really look alike...

I agree that the resemblance is uncanny...twins even...except that Butt Chin. Dead giveaway.

Sends Dillashaw packing off to Bang's new school and takes the fight.

I could see Dillashaw eventually breaking off and going to Colorado for that fight. They have said they would fight for alot of money and the title.
The question is moot, Urijah is 35, his days of contending for a strap are pretty much over. He seems to be just a tad behind the top guys of any of those divisions.
There's a reason he's fighting Caceras next.
And with Bang leaving, it's going to be very tough for him to replace that level of coaching.
