I am very happy we beat Bosnia. I am pissed that Balogun got red carded. We absolutely needed him for the Belgium game. Whatever, next man up. USA USA USA!
Just caught up with the highlights. Is Balogun an important player for the US? Have they got a good replacement for him? I thought the straight red was a bit harsh, it looked bad on the replay and I was shocked the ankle wasent broke, but there was no intent to hurt him. He just landed unfortunately on the ankle.

Overall you were the best side, hit the bar, 2 offside goals. One was millimetres. To score another after getting a man sent off and not conceding is pretty incredible.

He's their best player

He is our primary striker, and no, we do not without changing up the formation and/or tactics. Not our best player, thats Pulisic. Pulisic probably taken off the wings to become the 9 for the Belgium game. USA is very top heavy with a shit bench, so every starter out is a massive sting.

Ricardo Pepi is the actual backup 9 but I wouldn't start him against Belgium and keep him as a 2nd half sub.

I think Englands going to struggle against Mexico. in 89 competitive fixtures there, they have lost just twice and are unbeaten in 13 years. No World Cup team has beaten Mexico there in 10 attempts. There ain’t a single player in the Mexican squad that would get their place in the England team. Thats just facts, but they’re dangerous and fearless enough going forward cuz they know that teams can’t keep up with the elevation. Humidity and heat sure, but not at 7000 feet. 30 minutes of running is going to feel like 80. It takes two weeks to adapt to it and England has 3 days, not good. England need to keep an eagle eye on tired players and get them replaced with whoever we can get when it does.

I still have hope we can pull it off but I wouldn’t be shocked if they lost. Not the way they’re defending. Mexico with home advantage can beat anyone.

The biggest issue for England, for starters, is the altitude. Can they assimilate the altitude quick enough?

I’m not sure we can. How many UFC fights have we seen in Mexico City, where fighters with noted good conditioning usually sweat profusely and breathing hard after a round? It’s a lot. Look at Cain Velasquez v Werdum there. We never see Cain tired but he was blowing out of his arse by the second round, England have a lot of fit players but are not acclimatised to elevation but Mexico will be. 3 days will not be enough time and there will be a lot of tired souls out there. Extra time will be even worse 🤦‍♀️

Sea level Cain was unstoppable

I don’t think we'll ever see a HW with that level of conditioning as sea level Cain, just an absolute freak! Maybe Randy gets close to it but still no. Not to mention his wrestling and boxing. Damn injuries!!

Werdum was so smart in that camp getting out there 6 weeks before. Cain not so much cuz he turned up about a week before thinking his cardio would be fine. I’ve never seen Cain so tired before. Werdum pounced on that. Sea level Cain would’ve murked him in the first round.
