Someone made a post about it on another MMA website I frequent so I thought I'd bring it up here. If you take a look at his record (21-6) you'll notice that every single one of his wins has been a finish and in his last 6 fights he's won 4 subs of the night and 2 fights of the night. Has to be one of the most under appreciated guys in MMA, but I don't know why. I really see this guy getting a title shot within a year or a year and half. The best part of it all is that he's probably one of the least intimidating fighters I've ever seen
Anyways.... WAR J-LAU

the winner of Pettis/Lauzon should face nate diaz for the # 1 contender match

+1 that would be an awesome match-up whoever Diaz faced.

Worst nickname in MMA. But a great fighter who I enjoy watching step in the cage. Don't always root for him (Stout/Guillard fights for instance) but I was still stoked when he destroyed Melvin.

He is an awesome fighter no doubt, but I think the reason he has sort of flown under the radar is because he has had trouble stringing together any sort of momentum. He had a significant win streak coming into the UFC but lost to Florian. He bounced back with two wins but then lost to Stout. Got another win but then lost to G-sot. A win over Pettis would put him on a three fight winning streak, but we'll see if he is able to put it together in their fight.

Joe seems to choke when he fights bigger name opponents. Guillard was the first big name guy he beat in awhile.
I'm a huge fan of Joe and hope he beats Pettis, if he does I can see him getting a title shot.

Well he sure isn't taking himself seriously when he uses it. That doesn't mean it still isn't among the worst nicknames in MMA.

Actually hes won 4 sub of the night and 3 fotn bonus' which comes out to $365,000 in extra bonus pay
.! Out of his last 8 fights hes won 7 bonus' (6 of them in a row). Hes always exciting and comes to fight EVERY time which is why hes one of my faves...plus hes a gamer...
note: wiki says that hes won 5sub of the night and 3 fotn but its wrong..his page is correct

A nerdy guy that kicks *** and finishes fights, how come you not root for him.
He just needs to work on his cardio, from what I remembered he started beating G-Sot and Stout untill he gassed.

it's not so much a cardio problem as it is him trying as hard as he can to finish you at all times. its pretty much all or nothing every time.
joe f---ing rules.
