Songs you're feeling

So the above song is legit awesome. But the whole game changed the lead singer into a dude with AIDS. Pressure of the next hit literally made him lose 60 pounds and turn trans. I'm not saying it's good or bad. Just saying the industry destroyed that poor soul.

Lot of good stuff coming out this week: New Hatebreed, Darkest Hour, Prong, Thrown and ESPECIALLY Ministry. Listening to it right now and it's pure fire.

Also, for me, Kiss Rock 'n Roll Over (40th Anniversary Edition) with a complete new mix by Eddie Kramer. A new mix is a 100000th time better than a remaster.

So, for her birthday my daughter wanted to see the artist Sombr in concert.

Took her the other night (he played at the United Center) and these chicks opened for him. They were kind of all over the place, and two of the songs they played were weird as shit, but I dug this song.

They have kind of Fleetwood Mac meets Kate Bush meets Led Zeppelin thing going on.

Well, that's half true... she actually wanted to see the group Katseye but tickets sold out immediately and resale tickets were outragegously priced ($500+ for nosebleeds, for the seats that I scored her for Sombr it would have been between $900-$1100 a ticket, just ridiculous) by the time I could attempt to purchase.

I looked at the UC schedule and I was like, "hey, Sombr is playing the night before... I hear you playing his songs sometimes would you want to see him?" and she was gung ho about that.

Ended up getting tickets at face value. Not cheap cheap, but I felt somewhat validated when I pulled up Stubhub over the weekend and tickets in our section were 4x-5x what I paid.

To top it off, somewhat ironically, Katseye postponed their show at the UC so it ended up being a great move.

I can confirm that both Hatebreed's and Ministry's new albums are PURE FIRE. Holy shit! I've been listening to both of them of repeat since yesterday. Amazing!
