I don't disagree and I was really looking forward to seeing what he had to say. I'm willing to bet that his lawyers didn't like the idea of him going on.
its in the hands of his lawyers now.......this is a legal case and until they even have the hearing Sonnen can't really discuss any of it. Sonnen or his manager were smart to pull him from the show..........because he will only be asked questions about the failed test and he won't be able to answer.

Yes, he is appealing it.
I honestly don't understand how you can appeal this..... the only thing i can think of is since he told the commision he was gonna fail his PED test and they still let him fight, that he thinks he should have no repercussions, which in a way kind of makes sense to me

just dont understand why everyone is wondering why sonnen has to pay a fine and suspension, so he took them alright he got caught you pay the price and you move on, dont wonder why he has to pay a fine and get suspended, you break the law or the rules and your caught red handed own up to it simple as that, Maybe now more fighters will be randomly tested and get all those dirty ones out. So I guess Chael just needs to find that lil straw he lost after the fight and suck it the F#@K up and come back a clean fighter. OUT

Well, I did read somewhere, that there is a rumor where Chael may have had the flu a few weeks before the fight, and his antibiotics may have been what caused the failed test. Not saying I believe that, but it is the rumor I have heard. So, if that's the case, it may be the reason why he is appealing. Especially if he supposedly told the commission beforehand.

The poblem with that, is while he did tell the commission that he might test positive, from what I have heard that was all he did. He didn't follow the proper protocol for reporting it and as such is not an exceptable excuse.
I do think it was wise to cancel his appearance on MMA Live with the appeal that has been reported, but I don't like it because I actually wanted to hear what he had to say. But it is what it is.
