Tried to watch the presser, but it was a nightmare of buffering and digitalization errors (seriously, why not an audio-only option?)
Did Dana say that this would be a pretty good chance at a title shot (without the guarantee, as we've seen in the past) for the winner?

If G-Sot wins he should get a shot at the belt, if Siver wins he deserves a top contender.

Odd though, I was looking through wiki, and it said Siver is fighting Sherk at 127. Guess that fight is scratched.

Man can they feed G Strot an easier title shot? Siver is no where near a top level fight - guess that is what beating Andre Winer gets you
G Strot is good but how does he avoid a top 5 LW before a title shot? Give him one of BJ, Maynard, Diaz, Florian, Gomi, Dunham, Shrek before you give him a title shot with a win over Dennis Siver? That is the UFC trying to capitalize on a big fight overseas for the belt! bulls---

They really want Sot to get the title shot. I say give him Sherk on the Aussie card. That'll be a legit #1 contender fight (or close to it). Sot wins by sub in about 45 seconds.

Yea Dana said this will be set for the Aussie card, G-Sot gets a title shot if he wins.

I know Sots has to fight on the aussie card but giving him Siver wtf are they thinking? Sots is 7-0 in the UFC and just submitted Joe Lauzon with wins over Joe Daddy and Kurt who are BJJ black belts and now they think it would be a good idea to give him Siver who just subbed a nobody and is like 6-4 UFC yeah that makes sense :? Give him Sherk or someone higher up the food chain.

Yeah, lame as imo. Soto - Sherk would be a better fight.

wow, if the winner of Guida vs Gomi comes out VERY VERY unscathed, do you think that they would step in against George at 127?
if the WEC merger didnt happen, George would be next in line for sure.

Heres how I see it going, Soto comes into Australia and gets a slick sub and Dana announces that he will fight for the title, then the title holder (Maynard) comes into the cage, Australia goes nuts, but I figured since Siver is one of Germanys biggest start they would want him to get another solid win, and then a big fight for him win he goes back home.

soti is the real deal he can give any1 in the 155 weight class a real problem. his striking is good but his ground game is Great,. he will submit siver and earn a title shot

It seems Sotiropoulos is moving backwards when it comes to who he is fighting. A win over Joe Stevenson should not got you a fight with Kurt Pellgrino...IMO that is moving down the rankings...then a win over Pelligrino should not get you a fight with Joe Lauzon...still moving backwards....and finally how does a win over Lauzon get you Siver?? i think Siver is underrated and an up in comer but i still think Sotiropoulos should be fighting top talent at some point. I think if Nate Diaz wants to come down to 155 again then Sotiropoulos would be a good fight...Kenflo would also be a good fight....Sherk would be a good fight

Hes like Brad Pitt from the one movie traveling backwards, I hope he wins, he should get Gabe Ruediger before the title fight.

I see what you did there.
Possibly. I must admit I haven't looked over the 155 roster and who's booked who's not etc, but I think he really deserves a bigger name. Check out his record, he's only real loss is to Kyle Noke, a 185 pounder who just beat up Kimmons. He is a legit guy.
