… In October his doctors will determine what's next for him. His return at this time to UFC is TBD.
Sucks for him, it has been great to watch him grow, pun intended, while in the UFC. I hope he can get it all worked out. Usually a enlarged heart means the end of a career.

What make this so interesting for me is Stefan's history of being knocked out repeatedly. Is it possible that this has been going on for a while, and the fact that his incredibly large body has only been getting 70 percent of its blood is the reason why he's gotten knocked out so much?!...
Or am I just reaching for something that's not there?
Is it possible that this has been going on for a while, and the doctors never detected it? If so, I feel like the fact that his incredibly large body has only been getting 70 percent of its blood is the reason why he's gotten knocked out so much...
Or I'm just reaching for something that's not there. Either way, best of luck to Struve.

I hope he can still fight on, the kids got a bright future so as long as he starts avoiding lesser head shots.

You'd think being that tall you would have the advantage of avoiding most head shots...

Yeah his fight IQ is really bad, he has the same reach as Jon Jones, yet the only time I've seen him use it well was against Miocic..He's almost a foot taller than most HWs and he still takes the most head shots. He'll learn one day, providing he gets to fight more...

Assuming he does come back I hope he uses the time off to really improve utilizing his range. If Struve would just learn to jab he would be one of the best in the division. He used it well in the second round against Miocic and that was one of the best rounds of his ufc career. I would like to see him move to Jackson's camp. He has the same reach as Jones but is a lot taller, if he could use it like Jones plus his wrestling would improve he would be a scary fighter

I'm not sure if brains do that when it comes to blunt trauma. I would say he was one KO away from retirement, which means I think he got into professional MMA earlier than he should have.

If I remember right, taking a year or so after a traumatic brain injury can reduce the risk involved.

That's a weird thing to think, given that Struve is famous for being abel to take a tremendous amount of punishment before getting knocked out.

thats a bit of a stretch, but saying struve has a glass chin is a bit of a stretch as well.
