If it's a pretty good friend I would go. But, hell if your a single man there are plenty of opportunities to get laid. If you don't like DVR and this isn't that good of a friend I would watch the fights. However, if it's a pretty good friend of yours I would go to the party. Be there for your friend on her birthday, and have the added bonus of there being a good chance of getting laid.

Dude, go to the party. You can skip the commercials/other useless CBS stuff with DVR. Plus, you never know what could happen at the party and hate to look back in the coming days and say "Boy, wish I would have seen that"
