If a fight becomes a draw... why not have a fourth (or 6th) round? I'm pretty sure K1 does this already.
Would this encourage fighters to train to prepare for four rounds? If so, we would see less gassing in the third (
a la
BJ Penn), and potentially, less draws. Thoughts?
My suggestion is to either a) knock the other guy out. b) make the other guy tap out or c) kick the f*ck out of him so there is no chance of a draw happening.
if you do one of those, draws can be avoided.
Draws don't bother me if it is indeed a close fight. With the system of judging in place Fitch vs Penn was close enough for me.

Draw sucks because it solves nothing, but I have no problem with it if that is was really a close fight and a draw isn't a that bad. The problem with Jak's suggestion is you would have to have competent judges for c to work out for you. Fukuda kicked the s--- out of Nick Ring, not only was it not enough to not get him a draw, he lost the damn fight. Way worse than the Pham and Garcia decision that people were shitting themselves over...

I don't mind draws. I know its somewhat of a let down to not know who exactly won the fight, but sometimes, there really doesn't deserves to be a winner of the fight as was the example for last night.

Draws are a completely legitimate result of a fight. Sometimes, two fighters are evenly matched and it's the fairest result.

Dude they could have gone at least another round or two. The draw was just an excuse to stir up controversy and making the fans rile up. It was the biggest trending topic on Twitter lastnight.
