I dont get it. Miz is on a 3 fight win streak and is coming off wins over Caraway and Goyito, and he gets Nam Phan who's 2-4 in his last 6 fights and coming off a loss? Miz deserves a top 10 guy IMO.

How is Easton top 10? lol

The ufc's bantamweight division isnt exactly stacked. Easton is top 10 on the UFCs rankings and is ranked above mizugaki while on a losing streak. It's the perfect fight and the UFC botched it.

What they botched is those rankings. Easton doesn't deserve anyone on a 3 fight win streak lol

It's not like they're the ones who make them. Tell the media they botch it. Also, if Easton doesn't deserve it, then you think Phan does? After what, getting wrecked by siver, barely beating miller, and getting manhandled by hettes? Plus it's his first BW fight. "Good matchmaking" also, Easton is on a 2 fight skid against top 10 competition. Atleast he's beaten a top guy in his last 3 fights.

Oh no Phan shouldn't be in there either. But neither should Easton lol. If anything, Jabouin would have been a better fight since its 2 guys coming off wins and it's 2 longtime zuffa fighters who haven't fought yet.

Right, after barely "beating" pague? Mizugaki would man handle him. Atleast Easton is well rounded and explosive enough to fight an equally well rounded guy like mizugaki.

Easton is BORING. He hasn't looked good in a fight since beating a c-level 125er and even that was a close fight. His opponents are what makes his fights worth watching cause its sure not cause of him. Also, Mizugaki barely beat his last 2 opponents as well where both of those fights can be argued for the other guy. Jabouin and Mizugaki are way more a like and on the same path than Miz and Easton are IMO

Easton is a gate keeper. A solid well rounded top level BW who is higher ranked than a unranked jabouin who has always come up short against high level guys. In this situation it's not about whether the rankings are botched or not, it's about who is ranked where considering it's what the UFC uses for a lot of their matchmaking. Easton is ranked higher than mizugaki and jabouin, that's all that matters.

Easton isn't even close to a gatekeeper role in the UFC yet unlike Mizugaki, who is the true 135 gatekeeper and also comes up short against the high level guys like Jabouin....cause Caraway and Goyito sure aren't high level guys either lol

And yet Easton is ranked. Mizugaki has potential and goyito is a future star. Easton is way better than jabouin and given some adjustments he could be WAY better than he perceives to be. Plus, not to mention a tougher challenge than jabouin and more well matched to mizugaki.

why is nam phan still in the UFC anyway.. i mean i like him and all.. but witnessing the hettes and shortly after the siver beatdown (30-25 anyone ?).. i don't know.
makes me feel even worse about cutting okami

Mizugaki has also proven to be a gatekeeper of sorts throughout his WEC and UFC career.
If Phan's an easy fight, that's not such a bad thing for him. Four straight wins and suddenly he's on the rise again and can get a bigger fight.
Mizugaki is on a three fight winning streak right now but he's still not a big name. Plus he's always come up short in the bigger fights of his career.

Phan probably makes half what Okami makes. it's Jon Fitch all over again
Yet somehow Reem and Lombard are still there....

Dana said the loser of Mir/Overeem will get cut and I'm sure the loser of Lombard/Marquardt will be as well. If it was me I wouldn't cut any of them or Okami or Fitch, I would offer them a paycut first and if they don't take it then cut them

Mizugaki is lucky he makes s--- money, otherwise he probably would be cut after his next loss. I think all the top 10 guys are either booked or coming off a lose. So his only option is a slight step down. Mitch gagnon is on a 2 fight win streak, i think he would be the best option. Martins isnt booked either and hes on a 2 fight win streak, but i think gagnon is higher up the food chain.
