UUUuuugggghhh!!

We're dealing with flooding from upstairs. The actual flooding, more than once, and now the fallout from it.

What a headache, literally and figuratively. Musty, moldy, smelly, dust, destruction of walls, headache, stuffy nose/breathing, sleeping, the commercial fans, the commercial dehumidifier....noise, noise.

Then the task of documenting it all as it progresses FFFUUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!

The third time yes, first was some fucktard flooding her bathroom.

The thing is, June i called the building emergency line. They did nothing, I was having health issues, but didn't make the connection.

Then a few days ago, I lost hot water. Pinged em, oh we had a line break.

Then it's Super musty and the health issues became more obvious, like a cold that doesn't go away.

So now I'm backtracking and getting all my ducks in a row, because now they're tackling the issue.

And the job is HUGE and Building wide, so I know the disruption is only going to multiply

FUN FUN !!
 
I did some cleaning this morning ( cuz that's what girls do right? ) I lifted a rug to hoover under it and found a flattened dead mouse 🤮

you likely have mold if this is the 3rd time it's happened. black mold is the one that causes serious health problems and death, but you need to send a sample to a lab to confirm this.

if the structure wasn't thoroughly dehumidified and cleaned and all insulation and drywall replaced then you have all the makings for mold spores growing in unventilated cavities, mold's preferred environment. If you can, get a sample. Look at the back of a chunk of demolished drywall for discoloration (mold) and put a piece in a ziplock bag. If you're considering litigation it will be virtually impossible to connect your cough to the repeated leaks upstairs without a tested sample of what was actually growing in there.

a few days ago a pile of leaves, twigs, and weeds blew onto my pool cover. I grab the pool net, pull it over to the side, and a few pink things roll out. as I'm looking at them they are slightly moving. it was a literal rats nest, tiny baby rats with long ass fuckin claws, not a hair on them, and still yet to open their eyes. You would've found them cute and adorable, I kinda did.

So I put them in a bucket of water and drowned them.
