UFC Welterweight and Former Strikeforce Champion Tarec Saffiedine gives his opinion on UFC 175 and his immediate fighting future. Saffiedine names a potential opponent that could lead him to a title shot.

Always nice to hear interviews from Sponge. I'm down for Rory vs Tarec.

Rory said he's down for fighting tarec if he has to wait a while for his shot. It's an interesting fight cuz of tarecs tdd numbers it may have to be contested primarily on the feet IMO, and I don't know who takes it, could be a close fight?
I fancy Rory tho after his last showing

If Grant isn't ready, then have Rory vs. Tarec headline UFN: Halifax in October.

Rory vs Tarec is intriguing to me. I don't think Rory could just rely on his length like he has against others. Tarec has one of the most brutal leg kicks in the game right now.
A couple of other intriguing fights for him would be Alves and Gunnar Nelson.

He will get hurt again. The worst thing for the UFC would be him winning a belt. If him and Pettis were both champs we would be lucky to see a tittle fight once a year between the two divisions

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it
Rory would dominate Saffiedine

Tarec Saffiedine has eyes on welterweight belt
Published on Jul 20, 2014
As the welterweight Strikeforce champion, Tarec Saffiedine put Belgium on the MMA map. In California, the Brussels native
reunites with mentor and UFC legend Dan Henderson in a quest to add an even more prestigious belt to Saffiedine¹s resume.

Why not Rory vs Lombard? When Lombard got hurt in early June, they said his herniated disc will keep him out 3 months.....unless that is 3 months with no training at all, pushing back his fight date to th end of the year?
I wonder if Saffiedine would settle for Gunnar, LaFlare or Gastelum? Let Saffiedine pick one and have the other two fight each other. Switch Lombard and Saffiedine if Lombard really can't go by UFCHalifax in October. Still throw on TJ Grat v Michael Johnson on that card as well.

All 3 would be a step up rankings and name wise from Lim so he should have no problem accepting any of those fights. Especially since he's been so inactive since being in the UFC

Aldo has pulled out of more fights than Pettis.
