TFF-20: Battle for the Gold Round 5 Picks

Thank you, Crow! I find the confidence multipliers interesting. (I guessed wrong. It seemed to be 50/50 that a higher number could equal a lower value, but I see now that it seems to be literal.) I wonder how it would influence the behavior of a guesser if (1) confidence values weren't limited to single use, and if (2) a wrong guess, instead of yielding zero points, yielded negative points? Just hypotheticals....

You should ask @Trig about that. I'm just the grease monkey around here.

if (1) confidence values weren't limited to single use,
The single use limit of every lock widens the variables.
I'd imagine you could do a type of 3 tier system where your limited to 4 top locks, 4 mids and 4 lows.

The outcome would be a very different looking game though.
and if (2) a wrong guess, instead of yielding zero points, yielded negative points?
I don't hate that idea because it's crossed my mind a few times if you mean the confidence level of your lock turns into a negative then yeah that could work. Both above examples could be turned into an entirely new game.

Welcome btw.
