Great fight Cast. Seeing the H2H and that our picks were virtually identical was fantastic. It was an honor. Also, I fully admit that I'd have given that fight 2 rounds to 1 to Kampmann, so our fight should probably have been a draw and I just got lucky, which has happened more than a couple times on this run of mine. You said you wondered if I'd be the one to break Goodcat's defense streak? Not a chance. I think we all know that I'm overachieving already. What Goodcat did is definitely something beyond what I'm able to do, IMO, but I'm definitely having fun trying.
So now I'm 10-0 in my last ten. That's something I've always hoped to hit but never thought I'd get to. It's clearly all Prediction Afflictions fault, who went a perfect 6-0 last event, all wins by stoppage except for mine. Definite props to Iceman who jumped leagues to fight the HOFer Dansan and left with the KO. Also thanks to graps and all of ramreezy for helping me win the title in the first place and throwing me some encouragement and advice in gingerbattle '11, and meatmallet for help with strategery.
I just saw that PSUWrestler picked 11/11 on this last card. That's something I thought people should take notice of, even if he did hedge like a little b----.
Lastly, and most importantly, with all the big things going on like the next round of the GP and the record setting potential of my UJC run, it's important that we don't all forget just how shitty grizzy jiu jitsu is. Those guys are just the worst. They suck. Don't forget that, everyone.
