i think the consensus is that Brock will probablly rule the UFC HW division for a while.but who knows how long he will stay motivated or what up and comers might pop up.its difficult to predict the future in MMA..but im wondering who do u see as the best prospect, the most likely to be the UFC champ in about 2-3 years time.
ill present the case for some of the options :
Brock - just more of the same.
Fedor - dana will get him eventually..its the logical move for both sides.
Carwin - heaviest hands + good wrestler = danger
Overeem - have u seen him in K1 ? damnnn.....if he gets off the juice ( or cycle better) and comes to the US..wow.
Dos Santos - younget guy in the top 10..already a force, trains with best and will only get better.
Bret Rogers - huge guy..KO power in each hand..still new to the sport and has abig potential.
Cain Velasquez - the hype behind him died abit lately..but he has the heart, chin and the wrestling.if he can add the striking..
Andrei Arlovski - after he gets new titanium jaw maybe ?
Machida - if he ever gets bored at LHW..not likely..but what the hell.
there can only be 10 options in the poll but i also thing that Gonzaga has all the skills..if he gets abit of luck and his head right..and Barnett - still agood fighter after all.Tod duddy also is an intersting prospect.

If Brock continues to dominate as he has, he will get bored by 2012 and quit. Fedor will be moving beyond his prime in 2012. Carwin will also be beyond his prime; he said himself in an interview that it's a lot harder to build cardio today than it was a few years ago for him. Dos Santos is young, trains with a killer team, and has a lot of upside; that said, he's outsized by guys like Overeem, Rogers, Lesnar, Carwin, Gonzaga, and we have yet to see how he handles a bigger opponent. Overeem has a decent chance, provided he goes back to MMA full time. He's just starting to reach his prime at this point. Too early to tell on Bret Rogers. Cain has a long way to go and a lot to prove . AA? Machida is good, but with his natural size, I don't see him dominating at HW.

Lesnar will still be champ. I think Todd Duffee will give Brock a run for his money though in another 12-18 months. He's a big athletic guy.

Carwin hype will be put to rest after Brock destroys him with ease. Not sure what you mean by Cain having a chin? I think you meant good recovery and a questionable chin.

I hope you are kidding.
In all honestly, I don't see anyone right now that can stop Brock. Yea, he is "green", "one dimensional", and what not, but here are the facts:
- Nog has been in too many wars now. I don't think its smart for him for step in against Brock
- Fedor will be outsized, and over powered. It is one thing to slap on submissions to HMC, or to drop Timmay. But Brock is a monster as his size
- Carwin isn't getting any younger. He will be pushing 40 by this time.
- Couture will be nearly 50, and most likely will be at LHW towards this part of his career
- Mir has a good chance, being younger then a lot of people, and having some time to develop his game more
- Kimbo is a joke

Isn't the world gonna end in 2012? (srry couldn't resist)
Picked Brock cuz half that list isn't even gonna happen and he can beat the remaining half. And he does have a strong chance of going 6-0 over the next 2 yrs.
Heavyweight is a hit or miss division for boxing and MMA. HW's nowadays tend to be lazy as all hell. Not putting in the work needed and resting on their size.
Hopefully Brock doesn't fall into that pattern and keeps improving his skills.

actually Carwin is only 2 years older than brock.
people tnd to forget this cause he's kinda new for the MMA world..but Brock is already 32 today.and i think him being as huge as he is might make him more influenced by ageing then the lighter guys like Randy or Nog.

UFC signs Fedor, brock holds him down and beats him. Dana creates a 235 lbs. class.

If the HW division wasn't so thin, this would have happened already, but after looking at TUF10, I don't see it ever happening. Definitely need Fedor to mix things up, be good for him and brock to get a rivalry going.

It won't matter, cause the world will be gone by then.

the thing about brock is that he's smart also. sure he 'acts' like a caveman but he has a business-mind. if he learns a little boxing and actually learns how to punch those Huge hands he has, wow. just saying brock might not have reached his full potential yet. or even close to it. if he applied himself to train only for ADCC, brock could win it in 2 years time
he's smart therefore he can learn. i dont think getting bored is a problem. he has the belt and still seems pretty hungry. Brock Lesnar is great for MMA. not really a fan though. neutral

Brett Rogers will stomp all! starting with Fedor
As for the Brett Rogers Fedor fight… I mentioned earlier that Brett Rogers stomped Arlovski in a far more timely fashion than Fedor managed and man that punch Fedor threw… pure luck… COMPLETELY RANDOM. If Fedor wasn’t the luckiest man alive, we wouldn’t even be having the conversation, Brett Rogers wouldn’t be forced into this worthless fight, he could be increasing his stock against a quality fighter such as Herschel Walker or Kevin Randleman
