Ya, like I said, I don't know much. I thought it was kinda cool you could shoot shotgun shells or .45LC.

I guess most people don't have a problem with it either. That gun was flying off the shelf at all times. This was several years ago, though.

Oh, I remember when those were popular. Taurus sold tons of those fuckers. The concept sounds great to people who don't truly understand the ballistics involved. The barrel is just too short to get good patterning from an already problematic shot shell (problematic for anti-personnel use). The .410 is simply not a good people shooting round. And while the gun can shoot .45 Colt, you'd be far better off with a smaller gun for that purpose. It's too big for pistol rounds and too small for shotgun rounds.

But goddamn was it profitable for Taurus. S&W made one, too. The Governor. Wasn't as popular.

Out of all the brands I messed with constantly, Sig was probably my favorite. Everything about them seemed to work so smoothly compared to others.

This is not a good post. You are seriously positing that .44 Magnum revolvers, the most common side arm for woods purposes in Alaska, is useless and only bought from watching too many action movies?

The Stoeger double barrel is also not useless. Not sure where you get that from.

And the Desert Eagle is just a fun piece for most who but it. I doubt anyone buys it for serious purposes. Nothing wrong with fun guns, man.

BUT NOT FOR NEWBS
or their first gun
or carrying (unless you're like 6'5, 300lbs)
that stoeger double barrel abortion should be banned
as the owner of many many fine doubles, WTF is that?

Better option for snakes is Colt King Cobra .357 mag with CCI shotshell.

Well, yeah, but that's not what you said at first. I agree it's not a good first gun, but that is obvious to anyone with gun knowledge.

The Stoeger double is meant to be a modern coach gun, nothing more, nothing less. It is a niche gun, to be certain, but there is nothing wrong with niche guns, nor is there anything wrong with having an abundance of choice. Isn't that what makes the country great? Why do you want fewer choices?

I've come to the conclusion that if I want my wife to have a long gun available to her, a 20 gauge double barrel is probably her best choice. I know my wife, and I cannot envision her racking a pump multiple times in an engagement. She would be far better served with two in the pipe ready to go. AR's are like space shuttles to her, she is not ready for that. Maybe after the kids are grown and I can spend some serious time training with her. But her go to weapon for now is a .38 revolver, which is about the extent of what she could handle under stress right now. That's the thing about double barrels and revolvers - even non-gun people can intuitively use them.

I ask again: why are you opposed to an abundance of choice for people?
