Armed Dad Stops Oregon School Shooter as AP Admits the Obvious

Few mass shootings in the U.S. end the way this one did in Oregon: an armed civilian at an elementary school opening fire to stop the gunman. And this time, even the Associated Press had to say so.
The piece of shit gunman targeted special needs elementary school kids. The level of evil to plan that is beyond my comprehension.

Does anyone here have any experience with Alien Gear holsters? I love my Hidden Hybrid, but I'm wondering if I should branch out. I've always heard good things about them.

I'm going Gunfighters Inc Ronin for OWB, but I'm still deciding on IWB for the G30.

No I looked at the Shape Shifter 4.0 a while back but its just really bulky for an iwb. With a G30 that is already thick it will really print. I guess since you are in Alaska you usually have bulky clothes on this time of year anyways so it probably wont matter. What I do when I'm looking for a new holster is buy a bunch of different ones on Amazon then return the ones I dont like.

The Cloak Tuck 3.5 looks to be the exact same size as a Hidden Hybrid (best IWB ever for me so far).

I think I'm leaning away from that one though as the selling point used to be that it was cheaper. But it's only 10 bucks less than the HH holster now.

I came to the same conclusion about the Shape Shifter.

I was looking at Vedder, too, but that seems identical to the HH.

I can conceal my G20 with little effort in winter here.
The only thing that really matters is that the holster is comfortable and you can draw quickly without any problems. To me comfort is everything. I carry everyday, some days in suit some days in jeans and while I'm not at work I'm usually in shorts. I can practice drawing from any holster and make it good. Comfort on the other hand you can't change that. Nothing worse than getting half way through the day and having it cut into your side or tweaking your back.

I've seen Alien Gear and never bought one. I've been through a bunch of holsters and settled on Vedder Rapid tuck as my favorite, for IWB (I carry 4 o'clock). But that's for Florida: It's much different in Alaska, I'm sure. But I do have an OWB LightDraw for my 1911, that I only use when fishing or hiking. Florida has open carry now, but I choose not to do that unless while fishing/hiking/hunting. But I can recommend Vedder, if you want to check them out.

Oh it's easy for comprehension. "What will make me as famous as possible with as little effort as possible?" That is their end game.

it isnt that simple maybe in their head it is, but in rational peoples heads it don't. How can they be famous when most of the time they chose to end their own life or go down in flames in a fire fight with the cops. They have no chance to see their infamy as they are long gone before anyone even knows their name.

They don't care. Their name appears on CNN for a few days. They saw how much coverage the Columbine killers got and think 'that could be me!' Why do serial killers taunt the cops? Same reason.

This behavior is not new. In ancient times, a guy burnt down one of the most famous temples of Artemis in the Greek world solely for the purpose of becoming infamous. In response, the tyrant of the region made uttering the asshole's name a capital offense. Didn't work, his name made it into the history books.
