Picking who will be the "next" Champion at each division, UFC and/or Strikeforce--with there being some really strong champions and a lot of possible movement among the divisions and promotions...
HW:
UFC
-
Junior 2 Santos
-- after he maims Lesnar, he beats Velasquez for the Title
Strikeforce
-
Junior 2 Santos*
-- division will merge* with the UFC soon after Grand Prix; Overeem loses to J2S in a defacto-Title unification bout
LHW:
Phil Davis
-- Jon Jones moves to HW in a few years, Davis beats Shogun for the vacated title
Roger Gracie
-- beats King Mo Lawal next, beats Mousasi or Feijao for the vacated title when Dan Henderson retires with the belt
MW:
YTBD
-- don't see anyone beating Silva, too many contender possibilities if he retires/vacates
Mamed Khalidov
-- if they ever sign him up
WW:
Jon Fitch
-- without knowing the extent of his injury, I think he'll be the top contender of the WW Title fight when GSP moves up to MW
Georges St Pierre*
- beats Nick Diaz*; if Diaz vacates the Title to make the move, I'll say Tyron Woodely beats Paul Daley for the new belt
LW:
Gilbert Melendez
-- Frankie Edgar defends his belt until he faces Melendez
Gilbert Melendez*
-- he does indeed "
unify some Titles
"*
FW:
YTBD
-- dont see anyone beating Jose Aldo; maybe Chad Mendes in their next fight, maybe Frankie Edgar if he moves down
BW:
Urijah Faber
-- beats Dominck Cruz in their next fight

Overeem (no doubt)
Phil davis (jones might stay for a long time)
in Strikeforce - OSP
Sonnen, obviously
Fitch/diaz? No one else left really.
I guess melendez
Chad Mendez wins next fight, I'm sure
Renan Brao, 25 win streak, biggest in MMA, he was suppose to fight Demitrius Johnson but he got switched.

HW: Junior Dos Santos
LHW: Rampage Jackson
MW: Chael Sonnen (only if Anderson vacates/retires)
WW: Thiago Alves
LW: Gray Maynard (regardless of who wins the upcoming fight, Melvin Guillard will be champ next)
FW: Kenny Florian (doubtful)
BW: Urijah Faber

LHW-Machida, and then marcos rogerio de lima

I like this kid too, but next champ? I can definitely see futue champ. He had his shot against Miller and got tapped out. I think he was thrown in too early, but I see a bright future for him.

i think edgar is going to hold onto the belt for a while. IMO the loss to miller was like when GSP lost to hughes, it doesnt mean he blew his shot, just a learning experience for a young fighter against a tough veteran. also people seem to act like oliviera got slammed on his head, gave up his back and got choked out. he was attacking jim miller from the bottom, and looked like he was going to catch jim in a submission. he got cocky, plain and simple, and got caught in a kneebar.
so i see him gaining steam, getting a shot with edgar who will be a longtime champ, and taking the belt from him.

By then, there will be only one major promotion.
For HW, make way for The Reem
For LHW, Jones will run into weight issues and be forced to HW, but until then, he will stay on top.
For MW, it is very hard to say, but I'll say the next champ will be Jake Shields.
For WW, Fitch is patiently waiting for GSP to move up and/or retire.
For LW, Gray will have his day soon enough.
For FW, Mendes has the best chance to decision Aldo's belt away from him.
For BW, Faber is already getting his chance and will take the belt.

Heavyweight - Too close to call, I mean I can't honestly discount either JDS, Brock and I certainly can't discount Cain beating them. From there you have Carwin waiting in the wings.
Light Heavyweight - Anderson Silva. Yes, I said it. The only thing stopping AS from gunning for HW is Lyoto Machida, and while it's great he KO'd Couture, he's probably at least two wins from a title shot and one loss will take him out of contention and Anderson may make his bid. I think Jones will beat Rashad, Silva with beat Okami, Jones will beat his next contender, as will Silva and that will set it up.
Middleweight - Anderson retires with the belt. It's going to be a while before Sonnen gets another shot, and I don't seem him being as good when he gets there. GSP might be able to do it, but if he comes up from Welterweight without a couple tune up fights, he'll lose without a doubt.
Welterweight - GSP vacates the belt for a new weight class. He's cleaned out the division. Nick Diaz I don't think has what it takes and Condit, Kampman and anyone else is sadly a step down in the competition GSP has faced. From there, I think Fitch will sit on the division.
Lightweight - Too close to call, there is a ton of talent at Lightweight that all have legit chances of claiming the title Edgar, Maynard, Pettis, Miller, Melendez, Thompson, Guida, Penn
Featherweight - I honestly can't say. I don't have enough Featherweight knowledge to put forth an honest opinion. I do say this, if Florian fights Aldo, Aldo takes it.
Bantamweight - Faber and if not Torres

Actually, I've been going back and fourth on it, it's kinda tough...
But Chad Mendes just might be the right match-up for Aldo (or the "wrong" match-up for Aldo, depending on how you look at it).

I can't say who the next Champions will be because the basis for how the UFC picks their title fights is not something I fully understand. But I can tell you who to watch out for...
BW - Urijah Faber
FW - Unknown
LW - Jim Miller & Ben Henderson
WW - Fitch; and McDonald way down the line
MW - Unkown
LHW - Unknown
HW - Dos Santos, Lesnar, Overeem

This line of discussion makes me want to see Fitch vs Shields.
