Haley Joel Osment is the one everyone who looks into this says should have played young Anakin. 6th Sense came out around the same time though.

Aaron Taylor-Joy was born in 1990, but he was over in England and I don't know that he could have figured the accent out.

Daniel Radcliffe was born in 1989, but that dude IS Harry Potter... I couldn't imagine him as young Anakin.

Nicholas Hoult is an interesting one... but also English.

Liam Hemsworth born in 1990, but I couldn't see an Aussie Anakin...

Elijah Wood had he not been wrapped up in Lord of the rings could have played the role.
 
True Detective, Season 2. Vince Vaughn as Frank Semyon was something to behold. Unlike in Season 1, the lead writers were basically left unsupervised, leading to some real hardboiled lines delivered extra boiled by Vince Vaughn. Though he absolutely nailed the last scene in the desert, and I get they wanted to cast a guy that is supposed to look out of place in the SoCal underworld, there are much better options here than Vince fucking Vaughn.

Ben Foster is definitely a good actor, but I'd have to see him do scene to be convinced. Something about his look seems off for Vader to me. I don't feel he has the gravitas.
