Yeah hes a great teacher. But who has he ever made great. All the guys in his camp where already great fighters who he helped get better and his strategy is the best.
But who has he made great?

:? ... has anybody said he made anybody good? i always thought people commended him for strategies and game plans. Most notably Keith Jardine over Chuck Liddell. It's easy to look back in hindsight and rip people it's not as easy to do prior to the success.
All camps have up and downs and eventually a new camp will emerge and take camps that are viewed as the top right now.

JArdine is good, Diego is really good, Rashad is really good, GSp is really good. Someone can't be great until the end of their career and you look back at thier body of work.

Everyone has a gameplan and a strategy until they get hit hard. I agree the fighter has to do the workJackson can only do so much

GSP- Current Champ
Evans- FOrmer Champion
Nate- Former Contender, currently one fight away from a title shot
Jardine- Wins over Forrest (former champ), Chuck (former champ) Vera, Gouveia. inconsistent though.
Diego- Winner of TUF 1
Lenoard Garcia, Donald Cerrone- had title fights, contenders still in the WEC.
Dimacio Page- Contender in the WEC
Joey Villasenor: Some solid wins. Nothing really to write home about
They may not have the most talent or be the most decorated, but Id say hes doing a pretty good job

Wait a second. Did you read this orginal post. I think Greg Jackson is great at strategy, but he does not cultivate fighters. Those guys where great before they ever went to Greg Jackson. Who has he ever cultivated besides Diego, who also has added more to his game since he left Greg' camp. What was the point in listing those guys, GSP and the rest came over already with a rep.

Relax guy.. I agree with you and was helping you prove your point. He is amazing at coming up with Strategies, But he doesn't posses the ability to make them full blown dominate stars. Point being exactly what you said these guys have all come to him with great skills, looking to get to the next level and it doesnt ever seem to happen with the exception of GSP who is on a different level then everyone on that list.
Page and Garcia started with Jackson, but they havent gotten to that next level yet.

I was expecting the thread to be the same as the "jacksons camp proves to be normal" thread, but its COMPLETELY different

Who has he ever made great???
So, is John Hackleman a better trainer because he had Chuck Liddell??? Is Ed Soares the best manager because he manages Silva and Machida???
These arguments are nonsense.

Mark Dellagrotte makes fighters great
Renzo Gracie makes fighters great
Ricordo Liborio makes fighters great
Helio Gracie god rest his soul made fighters great

What fighters do Mark Dellagrotte made great??? Kenny Florian is one of his biggest names, if not the biggest and Florian was known before training with Dellagrotte, and that's your own argument against Jackson. Camps train fighters, but truly great fighters come from everywhere, it's more about the greatness of the fighter than the camp. But, of course both are important.

Wait a second. Kenny Florian is arguably the most improved fighter in mma. What are you talking about. Are you really standing behind your comment.
Kenny was a pretty good fighter before Dellagrotte now hes a great one. GSP was great before Greg Jackson. Kenny's standup has been off the charts since he joined with Dellagrotte. His standup has improved to the point where he is now a better standup fighter than BJ, not a better with his boxing but all around, and he is the best standup fighter in the whole lightweight division.

YOUR statement was about "making great fighters" and you then went on to say Greg Jackson's fighter were already known. Well, Florian was also already known before joining Dellagrotte.
Yes, Florian is a MUCH improved fighter now. But, Rashad Evans is also a MUCH improved fighter since joining Jackson's camp and he was champion in the most competitive division. Florian has a chance to be champion, but will probably lose to Penn.
I'm not here bashing Dellagrotte or anyone else. I'm simply against your initial argument talking about Greg Jackson's camp.
