I think this Brock issue somehow turn out to be pretty good for the UFC... Now they can really set a rightful tournament to state whos the real #1 contender... Obviusly Carwin was because there was no one else for that spot.. but right now, with Mir 2.0, Cain and Nog coming off impressive wins... this batttle for #1 contender looks great. I think the winner of the tournament should be given the interim title (just as a recognition, and also sounds better for PPV matters to have a unification title fight)...
I will go ahead and say that Mir is going to win the Tournament.
Who do you guys think will?

Tournaments arent going to happen in the ufc anytime soon.
But yeah Mir would have a good shot if they ever did this

Yeah, I mentioned this in a different thread.
Mir vs Cain (grapplers)
JDS vs Carwin (strikers)
Winners fight for either interim, or first shot at Brock when he returns.
Edit: I think Mir would win both fights, and then beat Brock as well.

Well if Mir gets his wish he will be fighting Carwin. Depending on how long Lesnar is going to be out I could easily see the winner of that fight, fight the winner of Velasquez/Nog as either an interim fight or as a #1 contender fight.
Given those matchups I think it would be Carwin v. Nog with Nog coming out ahead.
