I don't understand why this is relevant to MMA...beating women will get you kicked out of the UFC for life so it just dosen't apply to MMA.

I'm not talking about that elevator video clip itself (I wouldn't recognize Ray Rice if I was standing in front of him), but the point Keith Olbermann makes about how demeaning women athletes and fans leads to this sort of asymmetrical treatment.

Abel Trujillo has twice plead guilty to domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury. He also hung up the phone when his partner tried to phone the police.
UFC rules on stuff like this are inconsistent. Guys like Will Chope get cut because they're completely invaluable, and it can also depend on the timing of the revelation of their actions.

I call bulls---, I'm for EQUAL right
you can insult women AND men, do you not hear women all the time say "omg he's so hot" if they see someone like Ronaldo etc etc
why should men not objectify female athletes when females objectify male athletes?
why should men not insult female athletes when everyone insults male athletes?

It all depends on how valuable they are to the company.

That was the main part of the Chope case, it was never revealed until right before a fight. Had this been addressed when Chope was signed, nothing would have come of it.

Keith's point was that if a guy like that gets a two-game suspension, there much be a cultural reason why women are so devalued.
What do you think that reason might be?
