you have no idea. coker probably felt like an idiot, everyone in the arena went NUTS for cain, probably 3x louder then they got for any SF fighter, except if cung le was there, they LOOOOOOVE cung le at the hp

Dana was probably laughing because Cain and Hammer got a far bigger pop than any of the Strikeforce fighters. Some of them got crickets when they showed them on camera. Strikeforce probably regretted it.

It's a win / win situation in my opinion. Cain gets the biggest reaction, that's good for the UFC. Strikeforce gets the benefit of having these legit, recognizable stars attending their show. Everyone knows Strikeforce is no where near competing with the UFC, but at least they can establish themselves as a number 2 promotion.

Thats made plenty of UFC comments before, it's nothing. just like rogan and goldy have made a few comments about fighters/fights in strikeforce

I was referencing their current approach to get more viewers, by selling their own fighters as legit since they train with said fighters. Like when they spoke of AKA and Chute box, they spent alot of time talking about Fitch/kos/wandy.

They really don't do that enough and I don't know why. IF you looked at there website or most of there press releases and things when the mention Walker they always say he trains with Cormier. Never any mention of the UFC HW champion Valazquez. I think it's stupid personally, why fear advertising for the other guys, just advertise your guys in a way that puts them in the best light, when they signed Daley you would have had no idea he ever fought in the UFC from what I heard from them. Including during the fight with Scott Smith. Strikeforce always somewhat tiptoe around the fact that the UFC exists, I don't get it. I didn't hear much talk of Kos, Fitch, or Wandy last night.
To some of you others, why would Strikeforce regret showing fighters because they got cheered? What is the negative to the crowd liking Cain? You think people heard them cheer for Cain and said, well I am turning this s---, that crowd loves the UFC more than Strikeforce. Coker certainly would not feel like an idiot, what would be his reasoning for feeling that way? No one noticed except the people who try to find a story in everything. They showed Cain, crowd cheered, no story, no anything, it just happened, calm down people.

cain actually fought in strikeforce at one time. plus they showed fitch, i saw koscheck in the stands. they only showed guys that are relevant to them(the AKA guys). i also like the point that cain got a better reception than any fighter they showed cage sde

What an awful thing for MMA, next thing you know you might see SF champs Gilbert Melendez or Nick Diaz cornering at UFC shows on a regular basis... or have Joe Rogan talk about Fedor Emelianenko or Dana White compliment and show his respect consistently for Alistair Overeem as a fighter he would love to have in the UFC one day...
