I have never been to a live UFC event. I'm thinking about driving from KC to Denver in September for UFC 135. Any tips on getting decent tickets without paying money to be in the UFC fight club? Is the UFC fight club worth spending the money on to get first dibs? I always thought the brokers would probably snatch them all up before the fight club members even had a chance. Any suggestions or advice on getting the best tickets I can at a reasonable price and how to make the most of my first live UFC event would be cool. Sorry if there is already a topic on this. I honestly dont think getting tickets will be too much of a hassle, I dont think the last event here sold out, and this one is in a much bigger arena. Id say if you dont go the fight club route, have a general idea of where you want to sit picked out before tickets come on sale, and then buy them ASAP when they come on the market. As far as the fights, going to the weigh ins/q&a would be cool. As far as the city, if you need food suggestions or any other sort of entertainment suggestions let me know.

i drove from the bay area all the way to vegas on 24 hours notice(8 1/2-9 hour drive), and drove back THE SAME NIGHT and it was still worth it by far.
Ya, go to the q&a or be waiting around the arena, and add D.W. to your twitter and he'll usually tweet tickets and youll have to race to get to him before he gives them away... Its quite a spectacle.
Joining the fight club has other benefits for live attendees other than first dibs on tickets (although that part is very nice). You also get access to the Q&A session, which you can't get into otherwise. Also early seating for the weigh-ins, so you don't have to wait around and then join the stampede for seats when they open up the general admission for the weigh-ins. This gives you time to shop for stuff or get pics/autographs/beer without being panicked about rushing to get a seat. Then, after the weigh-ins there is a Fight Club party at a nearby bar, usually a few more fighters there, and Buffer or a ref or something.

Here is a suggestion, slam a beer at the the beginning of each round of every fight and by the end of the card even the most boring fights will fly by.

Another tip: bet money on the no name fights on the undercard just to give you someone to root for. Bet with your friends or random strangers around you. Even a dollar gets it done, and will entice takers. It's fun when random strangers jump in, you can get a fun group going all around you. Before the fight, just stand up and say "I got a buck on (fighter so and so). Who's wants it!"
With the fight club membership, is there a limit on how many tickets you can get? Thinking about riding up there with 3-4 people total. Would I be able to get that many tickets as a member, or is it a limit of 1-2 per membership?

My wife and i will be attending UFC 136 and its our first live event. We are flying down on Friday morning so i was wondering if we should buy fan expo tickets for both days or just Saturday? I dont mind spending an extra $30 for both days if it means not missing out on somthing. I was also wondering about how much i should spend on tickets becasue i know that camera men get in the way so should i focus more on being able to see the screen rather than being soo close to the cage? any advice and suggestions are much appreciated!

I've never been to a UFC Expo, but I've been to a similar event a few times (the Arnold Expo in Columbus, which is larger), and one day is plenty for me.
I prefer to be close to the cage. I don't want to go to a live event with the plan to just watch it on some screen. Your view will never be as good as watching a TV screen, but to me the live experience involves being close to the action. In my experience the first fifteen rows or so of a lower bowl provides a great veiw, but at a UFC event that will likely be costly.

Yea it does seem kinda stupid to go to a live event just to watch it on the screen but when we go to the smaller local shows (sharkfights) there is a camera man in the middle of every cage panel(figure they would be at the corners behind the posts) so we end up watching the screen about half the time. - The only reason I got tickets to UFC 115 and UFC 129 is because of my fight club membership.
- One day was enough for me in terms of the fan expo. TIP: Don't try and get everyone's autograph, its impossible. Plan to get 1 or 2 people you really want to meet and get their early. The lines are insane.

Hard to judge, that varies widely a lot on location, venue prices, anticipated demand, etc. I'd say there is almost no chance $150 will get you lower bowl, you'd be somewhere in the upper decks is my guess. Columbus UFC events are relatively lower priced (compared to Vegas) and $150 was above club level if I'm not mistaken.
