Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia talks about going back to his high school days to take care of some unfinished business between him and a few callous bullies. “The Maine-iac” is coming off an embarassing ten second KO loss to former Olympic gold medalist and world heavyweight boxing champion Ray Mercer at Adrenaline III: “Bragging Rights” in Birmingham, Ala., on June 13. Sylvia is on a three-fight losing skid and has dropped four of his last five contests. After having his August 1 bout against Paul Buentello at Affliction 3 cancelled it seems Big Tim is going to look elsewhere to keep on fighting.

He's probably gonna be the bully that gets beat down. Hope they don't bring in someone as skilled as Ray Mercer to fight him that would be sad he'd lose all ten grand.

the thing is most of the fighters on bully beat down have a submission arsenal for the first round and have decent enough stand up for the second.
Sylvia has none of these, unless you count sitting on a guy a submission.

A good friend/coworker of mine actually went to highschool with Tim Sylvia (graduated a year after Tim) and remembers things quite differently. He says Sylvia is actually smaller now. In highschool, he was just as tall, but also very fat. There was no bullying of Tim taking place in highschool. In fact Tim was the highschool bully. He actually attempted to fight my buddy over supposed s----talking, but thankfully my friend used a jedi mind trick and calmed Timmy down with some weed. Maybe Tim's remembering his middle school years, before his thyroid went wild and transformed him into a man-gorilla.
