Dana white said today that if Josh Koscheck wants to fight in San Jose then he can fight Jon Fitch there. Now, both guys should really sit down and discuss fighting each other. I know damn well they won't but they should. Fitch is tentatively scheduled to fight Johnny Hendricks which I actually think is a good fight and a fight that both fighters deserve. But if Fitch really wants to get in good with Dana and company this is something he needs to push. If these guys truly think MMA is a sport then just fight each other and take it as a sport.
I know its not going to happen but there has been so much talk about how Fitch gets shafted but the only one that is shafting Fitch is himself. This would be a step in the right direction. He'll be forever boring but maybe he can get favor with the UFC.

Enough with the Kos vs Fitch discussions! That group at AKA is a tight knit group. It would be different if one of them was the champ, but they both have already been battered by the champ and neither will ever touch gold at WW as long as GSP is around. Besides, I thought Kos was gonna move up to MW? It would be pretty pointless for the two of them to fight at this point, not worth their relationship at the gym. Because its not even worth it to the UFC to pay them the purse that they would demand for that fight.
Even Daniel Cormier basically said that the UFC would have to pay a fortune for him to even consider fighting Cain Velasquez. And like I said its usually different when one guy is champ. But personally I can understand it, if you have a great camp that gives you good success then why screw that up?

I'll agree with this guy. Koscheck needs to move up to middleweight - He isn't getting a shot at GSP anytime soon. The Fitch/Koscheck fight doesn't make sense right now either.

Seriously. That would be the greatest HW fight today.

I disagree about them needing to fight. Koscheck isn't getting his shot at any time in the near future, which removes him from the title talks. Plus, Koscheck does have plans to move up to MW.
Personally, I think Koscheck should make the jump now.

It would be interesting. Not sure if Cormier is quite ready for Velasquez, his win over Big Foot was impressive but I think Big Foot was being overrated though. Sky is the limit for DC though, no doubt.
As far as "the greatest HW fight today", I'd have to disagree my friend. You cant get ANY better than Cain Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos right now, I'm predicting that this match up will produce the best HW championship fight in UFC history!!!

Why on earth would they fight? There are a ton of WW's out there, and these two don't need to fight each other.
Another ridiculous thread.

If Kos is available in two divisions he should get an opponent other than his best friend. The fans were actually pretty cheerful when his name was brought up during the presser, so I'm guessing he is from around the area. If I was Dana I would let him fight whoever on that card just so he can have a moment in his career when he is not Booed. He is 33, says he is almost done and only wants big fights, I think it would be a nice moment to have the crowd on his side for once.

Ok so the guy trains with and spars regularly with the guy ad you don't think he is quite ready? Bigfoot overrated? I can see where you are going with that. If anything I think you are overrating Cain. I'm not saying Cormier is a fav to win or anything but Cain wouldn't run right through him or anything.Fitch won't fight Kos cause Kos knows his style well and would prob win based on being a more willing striker. I hope Fitch loses to hendricks

Just because you train and spar with someone doesnt meant that you are ready for them in a real fight. Yeah he would probably be more prepared for what Cain brings to the table, but that doesnt mean a whole lot. In my mind, they would probably cancel eachother out in the wrestling aspect of the fight and it would turn out to be a striking match, so it would come down to who has the better technique and who beats the other to the punch first... Which I believe would be Cain.
You could train and spar with Anderson Silva everyday of your life, but that doesn't mean your ready to face him in the octagon. At this point, I am 100% sure that Velasquez vs Dos Santos would be a more exciting and competetive fight than Velasquez vs Cormier.

The reason the Cormier/Velasquez fight would be badass is because both dominant wrestlers keeping winning in various ways. Both are likely the better wrestler whenever they fight, and both seem to be learning proper striking.
Oddly enough, it's the Koscheck type wrestler striking which is poor, so i'm not sure how they're learning really good hands whereas Fitch, Kos etc come with striking that's not nearly as prominent.

Cain looks fluid with his striking. He probably is just a fair bit more athletic than Kos/Fitch.

Gotta love how persistant-yet-jokey Dana is with this Koscheck vs. Fitch fight.
I know I love it...

Kos needs to go to MW;
Fitch is in a tough spot because he's got nothing to gain by fighting.......anyone expect GSP. But nobody wants to see that.
