Did anyone else notice how ripped Tito was at the weigh-ins?

I've thought his last two fights since the surgery he hasn't looked as big as he did before. I haven't seen any side by side pics or anything but he just seems smaller than he used too.

I did notice. Dude is ripped the hell up. He knows he has to have this fight. He must have put in some serious work. Too bad for him that Hamill is going to abuse him.

Yeah he looked pretty lean. Glad to see he's put some serious effort in for this fight.
I'm by no means a Tito fan boy but I think his speed could give Matt some real issues in this fight.

Tito is big, he walked by me and I was like fuuuu, he didn't too bad against Griffin, he's neverr 100% healthy, Hammil's gas tank isn't too good and Tito looks like he's in good enough shape to capitalize on it. Don't write him off just yet, title aspirations are gone but he can still get some W's.

I wonder how many people think Hammil is going to walk through Ortiz now?

Chuck was in the "best shape of his life" before Rich, his mental weakness (KO greed) was still there.
I'll never trust Tito to win a fight again, I don't care what he looks like. The last round of his last fight is all I think of, not his six pack. He'll f--- the Hamill fight up somehow, though I'd prefer he win.

I agree. I've seen lots of dudes that were in "The best shape of their lives" coming into a fight and they proceeded to get absolutely spanked. Ripped abs and bulging biceps don't cover up a lack of heart.

I do. Ortiz has lost his killer instinct and with that his ability to win fights. Hammil is a tough dude. And as BaconBits said, ripped abs and biceps don't win fights (or maybe it was Roy Nelson that said it
)

Tito tweeted around 4am Eastern time that he was back up to 223. Good cut for Tito, still feel like Hammil will win with better wrestling. But I really, really hope we get a vintage Tito performance. I've always enjoyed a good Tito fight.

Looks can be deceiving. The injuries Tito has won't be revealed until AFTER he loses.
Matt by vicious ground-and-pound.

Exactly. You can always tell the people who know absolutely jack about MMA when they point out how ripped a guy was at the weigh ins and try to use that as a means for their guy to win. If Tito fans are reverting to pointing out how lean and ripped he is as a reason he wins the fight, then I feel very sorry for you come fight time.

The thing I got from Tito's weigh-in appearance was how big his legs were. Tito was always knocked for having small legs compared to his upper body. Not this time. That proves he has been able to do regular leg workouts, which shows me that his back is in fact healthy.
I also believe you can get some useful information from the weigh-ins. Remember how drained and malnourished James Irvin looked after his cut to 185? How bout when Frank Mir came in a ripped 265 against Kongo? Right then, I was like "dude is gonna lay down a beating!"
