I was hoping for Dillashaw/Dodson 2 but this works for me. Assuncao deserves a big fight in his return from injury and to prove he is the #1 contender.
Im of the opinion that TJ clearly won their 1st fight 2 rounds to 1 but the judges took the decision from him.

Yeah that sounds a little rough but then again it is UFC200 so not to bad considering the talent on the card.

Sucks for Assuncao. He earned his title shot a few years ago, but hasn't been able to claim it. Now he comes back, and has to face a tough opponent in Dillashaw. Gonna be an uphill battle for him.

not really , a win gets him a title shot... not half bad for the amount of time away

Oh yeah, he'll definitely get a title shot with a win. But it's getting a win over a tough opponent after a long layoff that's the problem.

Ha Pre lims huh?
Looks like all the bitching and complaining has finally caught up with Dillashaw.
I think he takes the win easily this time though and will fight the winner of Cruz/Faber.

Champion to prelims real quick, real quick.

TBH, I hope they give DJ the winner in a champ v champ super fight. Both divisions are very weak and DJ has murdered his division.

Lol the "champion to prelim" comments are funny...like he isn't fighting on the most stacked card of the year. Like that has anything to do with TJ

This makes 11 fights...so what other fights are left and can be added to UFC 200 to make it truly a great card? CMPunk vs M.Gall will attract some viewers. Bader vs Gustaffson, Mendes vs Oliveria, Maybe that Benavidez vs Reis fight? Not many top guys left. El Cucuy vs Khabib (sub in Chiesa or Iaquinta is one can't make it), Magny vs Stun Gun, Bisping vs R.Whittaker, Jimmie Rivera vs someone. maybe whichever two girls from these four are ready to fight the fastest: Esparza, Rose, Maryna Moroz or Aguilar?
Add the 3 best fights from those and then we can talk about UFC200 being a great card. Did I miss any? Which 3 have the best shot of making it on the card?

Even with a win, I'd still like to see TJ fight another contender. It'll help buildup the rematch with Cruz.

Punk vs Gall - is likely for New york at this point, Punk is a draw/ Gall is from jersey
Bader vs Gus - Bader has supposedly agreed to fight Latifi, no idea what Gus is doing
Mendes vs Oliveira - makes sens, not sure if lands on 200 though, more likely the South Dakota card a week later or even UFC 201
Benavidez vs Reis - good but I dont think it makes 200, maybe the fight pass card or TUF
Khabib vs Ferguson - not happening because Khabib has ramadan
Magny vs Stun Gun - works but it seems like a step down for Magny now plus Stun Gun is probably being held for whatever asia card
Bisping vs Whittaker - doubt it, Bisping probably gets Nick Diaz or a title shot now
Jimmie Rivera - likely held for New York prelims
not sure about the girls but I know Rose is taking time off

haha.. . I totally missed 200. I thought it was a future event. Still kinda weird decision making on their part. The July 7th card could use some name recognition value.

i actually think the fight night is fine, TUF needs something
last TUF main card was supposed to be Ferguson vs Khabib, Bektic vs Kawajiri, Lauzon vs Dunham, and Edgar vs Mendes
As of now we have Joanna vs Claudia, Jake Matthews vs Stevie Ray and Ross Pearson vs James Krause

That isn't the marquee event tho. Those 1st 2 cards are appetizers for 200 so it makes sense not to over-stack them

I think you are right about these. So looks like the best 3 fights we can add to complete UFC 200 is:
Bader vs Latifi
Benavidez vs Reis
Magny vs Stun Gun
Mendes vs Oliveria
Maybes:
Ferguson vs Iaquinta or Chiesa or held for rematch with Michael Johnson
Gustaf vs someone
Rivera vs someone
some womens strawweight fight
Most of these look like they fit better on lesser cards but still mght serve as good prelim fights for UFC200
New York fight isn't until mid-Nov so some of the New Yorkers can fight now and still be ready by then.

The lightweight title fight and two top-ten heavyweights isn't good enough value for a Fight Pass card?
