Zaromskis and Woodley look pretty promising.

And this is the best possible answer anyone could have given. Also liking James Wilks too, although he may be a bit old. But if things play out the way I expect, when GSP starts into inevitable descent, Tyron Woodley will be the #1 WW in the world.

In the UFC: Rick Story
Outside: T-Wood obviously the next big thing, i like that he's in Strikeforce now. Gives the kid a bit of time to climb through the ranks and get some solid cage time as well as name credibility. Any word on his next opponent? Im hoping he opens up the April CBS card

I would say Anthony Johnson is a top welterweight not in top 10.
Alltho he probably should fight at middleweight.
I dont like that fighters drain themselves to "cheat" a weightclass

well said. you have to be careful w\ words like cheat though, because 90% of people are going to take it out of context and proceed to talk out of their ***. people dehydrating themselves wasn't taken into account when weight classes were established.

Jake Shields, BJ Penn, and Diego Sanchez are without question the three best WW's in the world that aren't ranked in the top ten. Now granted they aren't ranked because they havne't been fighting at WW, but those would be my three. Nick Diaz and Anthony Johnson would probably round out the top five.

+1 on Johny Hendricks. He looked good in the WEC and his fight against Amir. He will be up near the top before long. The kid has potential for sure
I'd have to say the most promising and exciting welterweights right now are tyrone woodley and rory macdonald...hands down these are the two youngest and most talented fighters coming up at ww. Also, Matt Brown is putting together an impressive win streak, although some would put him in their top ten. Zaromskis as well is looking better with every fight. I like Woodley and Macdonald though.
dan hornbuckle has been on a tear lately and beaten some good opponents, but he's not in the top ten because he hasn't faced an top 10 opponents. the dude needs some big wins, but i like his hot streak and would love to see him against someone ranked top 10 to see how he does.
Jake Ellenberger and Jay Hieron deserve some credit too!

Gono's ok now, and at the time I thought he exposed Thompson, who's was a great fighter and really respected when they fought, but he was coming off a loss to tim kennedy and hasn't fought since then. You can rank a guy in the top 10 who's lost 2 fights in a row, that's why hornbuckle isn't getting the respect there. But I agree, thompson is a very dangerous guy and I see him getting back on a winning streak. If hornbuckle wins the bellator tourny then he's getting into the ufc or strikeforce.

Fancy Pants Lyle Beerbohm is looking like a pretty solid WW.

Did Beerbohm move up recently? I always though he was a lightweight
My WW prospects are: Johny Hendricks, John Hathaway (cant believe no one has said him yet), Dan Hornbuckle, Tyron Woodley of course
