Main gym is only about 2 miles away which is where I do my lifting, wrestling and cage time, 60/month on a family plan. MT and Boxing place is about 10 miles away and I get to work there free in exchange for working with some of the younger fighters they are bringing along. BJJ gym about 30 miles away from home but only five away from work so I usually hit it in the mornings, I get private lessons there that run 75/session.
Damn so you're all over the place. My main gym is about 45 minutes away for all my mma training. I hate having to go that far after a long day of working especially when it's this cold out in PA. only problem is it's the most affordable gym near me. Kind of torn if I should keep going all the way there or try and go somewhere closer but a little pricier. Any advice?
Choose the best you can, good rep and good record of thier fighters and or grapplers. With weight/cardio places the money is usually a non issue, higher priced IME usually means less serious people and more time wasters. I chose my striking and BJJ off the coaches records, their fighters records more than cost. The weight/wrestling/cage I chose off location plus I already knew several pro and ammy fighters working out and/or coaching there,
A place had opened up over the summer for me, and its only a few blocks away from my house ( sweet i know) and its an mma gym so one day is bjj, next day is cardio bootcamp day, next is the general mma which is like sparring, rolling, mit work, GnP drills, then theres a kickboxing class I usually cant make due to work schedule.
