Cut indeed, I would be very surprised if he got another chance.

A year ago he was just about to a title shot now he may be cut. Man just goes to show the UFC is a shark tank and if you get off your game for a minute you are in trouble. Hope they give him one more shot he's still pretty young.

Never cared much for him. Won't miss him if he is cut. The only Griffin fights I really enjoyed were Griffin vs Guida (who should've won) and vs Gomi.

I really like Tyson's style. He's an exciting, athletic kid that has a ton to offer. I really hope the UFC doesn't let him go.
I say give em another serious test, if he fails short, send em packing.

That sucks. I'm a big fan of Tyson I love watching him fight, maybe he can go down to 145?
When you look at the guys he's lost to, he's lost to some really good fighters...
Lentz- is now 4-0-1 in the UFC
Dunham- is 4-1 although I consider him 5-0 because I thought he beat Sherk
Gomi- No shame in getting KO'd by the fireball kid
I think 145 would be good for him.

how does he lose the fight on points? Accoring to junkie it was scored
29-28/ 27-30/ 29-28
Lentz: 29+29+27 = 85
Griffin: 28+30+28 = 86
If it is based on point total he won the fight. Is this what "majority decision" means?

It sucks and I hope he's not cut. If he's not, I see a definite drop to 145 and then a new winning streak.

cuz that's not how it works.
two judges gave it to lents. the only number that matters is 2-1.

hopefully they suggest he move down to 45 and compete there. just seems it would be better for his frame and maybe he can give himself a fresh start. i felt really bad for the guy when i realized they put him as the first fight.....

No.
What matters is who the fight was scored for. The margin of points doesn't matter, except to us enraged fans who want to debate who won which round and such.
A majority decision is where two judges score for fighter A, the third scores a draw. They seem fairly rare. I think the only one I've seen was Jardine vs Hamill earlier this year. Judges tend to avoid scoring draws like the plague, so you won't see them too often
Draws are more complicated.
A unanimous draw is easy enough. Every judge scores a draw. Then you get a majority draw: One judge scores it for one of the fighters, the other two score draws. Finally, there's the split draw. One scores for Fighter A, one scores for the Fighter B, the third scores a draw.
You probably won't get Buffer anouncing what kind of draw it is, though.
