3 pm ET
.
UFC 99 (from Germany) was actually broadcast twice, once live in the early afternoon in the U.S., and then later at night as a rebroadcast.
This will not be show LIVE???

Yeaa I saw that too...It sucks but at least we get the fights free on spike

well yeah this is the same reason WWE never does PPV internationally the timezone difference is to great that showing it live wouldnt be great since it would air at either like A the middle of the day or way early in the morning like DREAM on HD net status
will it air at 8 also on spike if your on the west coast? or will it go at 6

Spike's site doesn't make a time-zone distinction, so I'm sure it's 8 pm there too (btw, it's a 3-hour difference from east to west).

I have no problem staying off the net that day to watch free fights.
SPIKE is probably only having one showing so they can pull unbelieveable ratings duing the primetime slot.

The other potentially-sucky part of this is that sports bars (like Buffalo Wild Wings) claim they're only allowed to show PPV events (as opposed to basic cable). Not I'm not sure what will happen. I know they didn't carry Strikeforce: Cyborg vs Carano.

Why watch at a sport bar when you can watch from the comfort of your own home?
This is hardly a con, IMO. I'll take a free card complete with commercials over a 60 dollar ppv anyday of the week.

I've lost track of what's PPV since I started watching at sports bars.
So for UFC 99, people had the choice to purchase early or purchase late?
I guess for this one, unless someone has a UK broadcast, they're screwed as far as watching a live fight...

In cases like this, I think most casual viewers prefer to see it at dinner/beer time than to see it live during daylight hours.

I remember for UFC 95 Rogers Sportsnet was able to show the fight in the afternoon. So anybody in Canada or who has that channel could still be in luck!!
