Alistair Overeem - $285,714.29
Why doesn't Reem ever make a normal amount of money? Always some weird number

How did Bigfoot not get a win or knockout bonus? Did I understand that wrong or something?

Post-fight bonuses aren't counted. So Aldo took home 290k instead of 240k

I think it's because he had his contract agreed in Euros, so the exchange rate makes it seem weird when changed to dollars.

I guess it's just not in his contract to get a win bonus.

So Rashad and Reem both individually got paid more to lose than the champion Aldo made to win and defend his title? Does that seem strange to anyone else?
And if you take away Aldo's win bonus, Rashad and Reems base salaries are both more than Aldo and Edgar's combined. I don't get it.

It doesn't seem at all fair to me. A lot of blame should go Silvas management for negotiating the details of the contract, but Dana should overrule that by giving Bigfoot a win bonus, that was an impressive finish.
No wonder Dana was quick to rule out Woodley ko of the night(who I thought was a slight better ko) he knew he wouldn't have to pay a high bonus to Silva by awarding him it.

Doesn't seem particularly strange to me, especially when it comes to Rashad. Evans is one of the biggest draws at 205, which has typically been the UFCs biggest division. Guys like him, who make a hell of a lot of money for the UFC, make a lot of money themselves.
Regarding Overeem, his potential drawing power (he was still a steroid-filled cartoon-looking man-beast when he negotiated this contract) was what made him so much money.
Aldo is a dominant champion, but he's never drawn great numbers so far (this card should be fairly good though) and lighter weight fighters generally struggle to draw as much. As a result, they're paid less.

more people like to watch bigger guys, therefore more money is made off them and zuffa pays them more.
Rashad Evans = HUGE draw in UFC. hes headlined a few PPVs without being in a title fight.

Dana deciding to give him a win bonus out of kindness wouldn't show up on this anyway. This is just the contracted amounts that are released to the Athletic Commissions.
It's important to remember that these don't include any bonuses. If you were to believe the reported salaries all the time, you'd believe that Forrest Griffin made more than Silva & Sonnen combined at UFC 148. (Crazy stat I just learner there).

McCall is the only one that stood out to me. I would have figured he would have been more in the Benavidez range (probably 20/20 or 25/25). 9/9 just seems really low for him given his standing in his division. Of course he doesn't yet have a UFC win so maybe it is fine.
