+1 Rashad is better than Chael everywhere, Boxing maybe even, but Rashad has more pop&power, and wouldnt be affraid to let his hands go like he looked against Nog.
Does Chael just love getting beat up or what? Terrible idea Chael, Evans will destroy you in every area of the game.
I would love it if Sonnen got to beat Rashads asss, but Sugars got this hands down IMO
I think both fighters would beat Chael quite convincingly. Both have the TDD defense needed. Davis might be a bit weaker in the clinch up against the fence where Chael would go looking for the takedown but I don't see it happening. Rashad would land more punches, Davis more kicks.
In all honesty I don't know of an opponent that Sonnen could fight that would get me excited outside of a rematch with Bisping.
For the 20th anniversary card, I think it will be lackluster. Damn near everybody is booked.

I would rather see the Phil Davis fight. Good chess match, would Chael be able to work his wrestling against Phil Davis a much more accomplished wrestlter than any of his recent opponents. I agree he loses to Rashad.
I love all the Chael hate going on. Both Davis and Evans guys would mop up Chael? LOL... when was the last time Evans or Davis mopped up anyone? Especially Evans... 2008? (I'm sorry but I don't count Tito). Chael may not win but he's not getting mopped up by these 2 guys.

I'll give you that he hasn't fought any good wrestlers in a while. But because of his personality, every likes to look over his actual recent fight history... the only 3 guys that have beaten Sonnen since 2007 were Anderson, Jones and Maia (all 3 TOP levle guys, and all better than Davis or Evans). And he has beaten multiple good strikers in that run.
I can see your point that maybe Rashad and Davis can out wrestle him (At will, I don't think but you never know) but several people have posted that Rashad will box Chael to a pulp. I'm not seeing that at all.

If Sonnen fought Davis it would end like the Jones fight only it will be a submission instead of a TKO. Rashad's speed and good power in his hands will cause him issues.

I think Chael smothers him too much for that to happen. I know Rashad moves well but I see it being a lot like the Bisping fight (which I actually thought Bisping won). But Chael's smothering negated Bispings good striking enough to get a decision. He also manhandled Stann (another good striker), although Stann doesn't have nearly the TDD these guys do.
I'm not saying Chael won't lose... totally possible. I just don't think it will be a romp.

Why is it hate to think two superior athletes are going to beat Chael? That's not hate at all. Chael's style does not match up well with either of them.

Every time a Chael fight comes up, most people that predict he will lose always say he's gonna get romped or steamrolled. Look at some of the rplies in this thread and the other Chael threads. That's just being a hater. I'm actually with you... I think there's a good chance he's lose. But he's not getting stomped... many people don't give him the credit he deserves as a fighter because of his antics.
Not necessarily picking out anyone individually, it just seems that the general concensus on picking Chael to lose it always, 'He's gonna get steamrolled'.

Pretty retarded not to credit Chael with everything he's done and how he's done it. Oh he got given a LHW title shot, that must have been his fault. He must suck now lol. Having said all that, his come forward aggressive style generally works better at MW and against guys who are not wrestlers. Davis/Evans are both strong/athletic wrestlers that should be able to stop Chael's takedowns (in fact my guess is that they go for the takedowns early like Jones did). I just don't see where Chael measures up to these guys in any facet.
