Yeah my god mother is in hospital in end of life care, shes down in south wales and my parents have gone to visit. If they are still down there at the weekend I will be around if they are back up here we will be out for dinner for my Aunties 70th, bit of a contrast in options

Doing some work on my TFF picks, I noticed that Volk's last 11 fights have all been title fights and he is 8-3 in them. That's a pretty crazy statistic. 11 consecutive title fights is a big number but made even weirder by mixing 3 losses in there. This fight will be #12.

Ya... they all probably made sense. Still a weird statistic. There's only a few guys with 12 straight title fights... doing a little research, Izzy also had 12 and he had 4 losses mixed in there!

The only other one up there is Spider with 13. Won 11 in a row then lost the 2 to Weidman.

Unless the sport changes drastically, that record will never be topped. And even if it somehow is, I have enormous doubts that the caliber of competition would be the same that Jon faced. He is one of a kind.
