My friend decided to get married on May 23, 2009.
I'm spending that night at a Glastonbury, CT hotel.
So!
Is there a nice sports bar in the area I can watch UFC 98 from?
The hotel claims they don't do PPV.
There's a Buffalo Wild Wings 16 minutes away, but my experience with BWW is that you have to show up about 2 hours before fight time to get a seat.
It think it'd be hard to sneak away from the reception before 8 pm since the wedding itself doesn't start until 4 pm...
Thanks for your help.

That's good advice and I'll consider it but another buddy told me it'd be in extremely bad form to sneak out early.
So maybe I'll call Cablevision and order it via phone and watch it when I get home.
Lyoto! I'm counting on you!!!

What kind of service do you have?
I know with DirecTV, you can order ahead of time and DVR with one press of a button on the remote.

Cablevision, no DVR, and I think they usually make you order within 1 hour prior.
Actually, now that I think of it, the rental is only good for 2 viewings.
I think I'll order it on Yahoo Sports actually (like I did in Germany).
That rental is good for 24 hours!

Yea, that was my next suggestion. I'm in a similar situation tomorrow night. I have to go to an engagement party in Richmond for 2 of my friends and, of course, UFC 97 is happening. Luckily, a bunch of us want to see the fight (thanks to Anderson and Iceman/Shogun) so we might just leave the party early to snag a table somewhere for the fight.

My girlfriend thinks it's cute (in a male knuckle-dragging way) that I've been trying to figure out how to balance my obligation at the wedding (and wedding reception) and my "need" to see Machida/Evans.
It's with a tear in my eye that I think I'll have to watch it online the next day and pretend it's live.
